  • did u paint the ends of the propeller?

  • @skrillexfan92 that is the larger prop designed for when running the pontoons.

  • what size r the wheels pls?

  • super cub lp wing rods where do they go?

  • There should be two little holes in the top of your rudder, thats for fishing the antenna through. :) Great mods!

  • The Velcro Wing Struts are the best idea i have seen yet!! i have a very small car and in order for me to bring my Super Cub i need to put down the back seat so the full plane can fit in with out it being crushed. The wings are a pain to quickly take off. Great idea!! thanks xD cant wait to try it ^-^

  • I have the same wheels. Also, I upgraded all the electronics and made the wing much stronger and flat: watch?v=i_g0c9kWXYQ

    5 stars for you!

  • how can it fly for in thr air ?>?? did u mod the battery apck or just use the one it came with ?>

  • I can't believe you have 38,000 views...good job!

  • good video did u have any problems with the throttle?

  • i have the mini version

  • wut are those wheels colad

  • also i used the velcro on struts as well. great idea. works awesome !!! thx for that info kual

  • i just got this plane for my 1st trainer. what a great plane!!!!! practiced on the real flight sim ( highly recomended) and first flight was easy even though i had skis as it was winter. did loops ground take offs and landings. i have had numerous crashes (hard crashes) broke the nose off fire wall and all, broke fusalage near the tail, etc, etc. : ) also for slow flight and indoors the parkzone ember and vapor are excellent begginer planes that take a lot of abuse. great flying btw

  • What size wheels are those?

    Thanks!

  • what did the speed get up too?

  • the speed of a super cub can go up to 50!

  • nice mods, i like the velcro mod. that makes things a bit easer.

  • nice job athough i would worry about the struts being velcro'd on those need to be secure as if you pull a high G turn or loop etc you can snap the wing in two

i would replace the screws with you know those curtain wire hooks you can buy from fabric or diy stores for really cheap simply screw thoes in where the old screws went and loop the strut hole over the hook

it would mean it would be just as sturdy as a screw but have the quick capabilitys of the velcro too :D just an idea :)

  • The wing struts slide right out of the wing if you put alittle down force on it. Ive never undone the strut screws once since owning my cub.

  • Nice mods, Velcro makes it easier to remove the wing quickly if you need. Cool

  • Can someone tell me more about the wing-setup with the "X" marking that straps it on? since on my cessna182 the skrewholes are just broken down...

I would realy apreciate if someone could link me to that video or something.... SO PLEASE REPLY! ( AND U'LL GET A FREE HUG!!! XD )

  • It is an Arttech Cessna 182 ....

  • no this is a Hobbyzone Super Cub

  • not bad, i think i'm gonna use the velcrow also on the wing struts thingies and maybe change the propeller for another 10-6 one or 10-8.

but thats cool its not like u did anything really super bad that coulda fucked it up like add aelerons only to cut off half the wings lol.

    5*s

  • yep i would put the screws back in your struts. You get enough altitude, and do a dive bomb you will not come out of it with velcro. your wing will snap.

  • I wanted to know if a wheel with 4mm of axle diameter, fits in the original axle of the super cub's landing gear?

  • You can try DAVE BROWN products light wheels 2 1/4 inch size or 2 1/2" size.

    They probably will work OK.

  • I suggust that you replace the screws for the wing struts. They are designed to hold the wings from snapping in two during a high maneuver such as a dive pull out, a loop or a steep turn. Velcro isn't strong enough.

  • Do you know where I can get some bigger tires for mine?

  • the tyres are a very good idea if you havent got a good flying site and the gps module is not a good idea those gps things give off alot of radio noise and interferance and there very un-aerodynamic

  • NICE tips.

  • SMART!, thanks for the great tips! :-)

  • tHANKS AgAIN MY MAN...I found better wheels ....

  • Nice Job. I want to make the wheel change also...Can you tell me where you found yours? I have never flown before, and I really like the tire idea. Thanks.

  • im sorry but i just bought the tires at a yard sale:(

  • @waybent335 I know this is really late but Dupro makes them. You can get them from a Hobbytown USA for about $5-10.

  • Hey dude where did you get that "Gramin thing"? And how much?

  • i got it an amazon.. it its for running, it is about $100

  • I have same plane here in U.K and I've made exactly the same mods! even my wheels look same, more foam helps absorb bump landing.I did the same velcro/struts too. That's the mini cub init?i even mount flycam same place.we'd better not meet and fly as we'd probably have a collision too..lol

  • i put a cell phone camera on the bottom. see the 3 holes on bottomm? all it is, is thin Styrofoam and you can cut it and put something small in it. so you can put the garmin forerunner in it or something else =)

  • Yes but then it throws the plain off balance.

  • Dude those are some REALLY cool ideas. I'm thinking about getting one of these so I'll try your ideas! =-)

  • great! thanks for watching!

  • That was a few neat ideas! Nice!

  • thanks!!

  • good plane to have

  • ya its great!

  • Whats the max speed and alt. you ever reached?

  • im not sure about the alt, but the top speed was 40 mph!

  • could you tell me where EXACTLY you ordered the wheels and the velcro. I'm not from America btw so this type of stuff won't be sold here.

  • well.. i didnt order the wheels.. i just had the from previous rc planes. As for the velcro i didnt order that either..but you can get it at your local hardware store. good luck!

  • i wish they made an alarm of some sort for when the battery gets low, mine died and crashed right into a ton of mud and recked the cowl

  • ya, that would be nice!

  • Do the bigger wheels help when landing in bumpy, or rough fields??

  • yes! they help alot!

  • Nice mate , Thats not the hobby propeller though is it im thinking of replacing mine is this one more durable?

  • no, it is exactly the same as the propeller that comes with the plane, exapt it has the two yello dots at the tips. This propeller is the only propeller that it sold, that fits on this plane. hope this helped :)

  • Thanks mate, i ordered some parkzone ones (with the yellow) fits perfect thanks m8!

  • nice job on the modifications. you should try adding ailerons to it, better control and makes a better trainer. keep the creativity going!

  • thanks!! i would like to but it seems so complicated.. i think i would rather buy a new plane haha thank for watching!

  • im guessing you have to put the garmin thing on the center of gravity correct?

  • not really... the plane flys ok if you dont put it in the center but it flys the best if you do put it in the center. so it is better to put it in the center.

  • you should put some Velcro on the plane for holding the wings in place, along with the rubber bands it should be cool

  • whare did u get thoes wheles

  • i got them at my local hobby shop. you dont have to use the exact wheels though... just bring the axle to the hobby shop and get some wheels that fit onto it. good luck!!!

  • nice!!! have fun!!!!

  • Very cool mods!

    Scott

    TheXPortZone com

    Hobbyzone Parkzone Parts & Accessories

  • thanks!

  • i am freidns with the only hobbyzone and they alawys recomen the mustang prop

  • Nice mods, I'm going to purchase this plane and I saw your mods, and love it. where can I purchase the wheels? Also what other items do I need to purchase to secure the wheels to the plane? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • The wheels, you can just get at your local hobby shop. Just make sure they fit onto the axle, if you are sure they fit onto the axle you wont have to purchace anything else. It is An excilent plane, you will love it!!!check out some of my other video by viewing my channle! thanks for watching!!

  • i just posted a video of it

  • ill try posting a video of it

  • ok... thanks!

  • i got the prop my from local hobby shop just ask one of the guys for a gws prop with the 4 blades they might have to order one i did

  • but in the gws prop u need to to drill a bigge hole which is no prob

  • i put for blade pro on mine i got it from gws and can fly at half throttel great

  • can you show me a link to a website that sells these props.

    Thanks for watching!!!!

  • Speaking of props, I have the super cub and the P51D, the props are the same for either plane as well.

  • ya both the props are the same.

  • Whats the fastest speed you have gone??

  • Also where did u get the idea of the velcro cause that is crazy sweet

  • For the bigger wheels did u have to get like some bearings to make it fit because i went to my local hobby shop today and wanted to get bigger wheels but the guy said that to put them on i have to get things to hold them in place.Great vid you should have a vid of you flying it!!

  • Have you broken your prop because when i buy a new one it has the yelow tips

  • yes the only props you can buy are made for the parkzone piper cub (almost the same plane)these props are exactely like the prop that comes with the supercub. Thanks for watching!!!
