It's nice to see education geared towards something useful. And that sounds like I'm being sarcastic, but I'm really not. Love the sound you chose by the way. nice and warm.
@richicc Hi there! Well, the launchpad is connected to a computer. The software on the computer is Max/MSP. The MIDI output from Max/MSP is then going to a MIDI interface that is connected to the SEGA Mega Drive.
@littlescale Thanks for your answer! The part that is still obscure to me is... how do you hook up a MIDI interface to the console? Does it have a MIDI jack? Is it a special cartridge you bought or a DIY hack? Thanks again!
@richicc I built and programmed a hardware MIDI interface for the SEGA. I've also made the same for SEGA Master System, Game Gear, Atari 2600, Vectrex, C64 and a few sound chips as well.
@littlescale You rock, man. Seriously. Have you released your DIY hacks specifications as open hardware? It'd be pretty awesome, and loads of people will love you forever (me, for example :P)
