Hey fellow 40k fans, video uploader here. I'm an artist at Relic and, while I didn't make this teaser, I had a reasonably anonymous youtube account which was perfect to upload this mysterious very early teaser video. At the time, Dawn of War 2 had not been announced, so this video was intended to create speculation.

Congrats to the clever grognards who decoded this sequence early. And yes, that is a Blood Ravens shoulder piece buried in the rubble.

he montaged (yes, any noun CAN be verbed) the teaser DoW 2 trailer with the Brother-Captain beating up the Ork. It is an actual sync-kill, if one has the thunder hammer when facing the ork warboss and the Captain kills him.

Also, that may have been Brother-Captain Gabriel Angelos from the original DoW.

But I didn't know about DoW2 so far - cool. I already was wondering if they are actually going to bring DoW to the next generation. I'm getting a little tired of all the new addons for a game that still has the graphics from 2004.

i heard you don't even build a base, you just take your army and use tactics to win. kind of like CoH but without the buildings, i'd like to have a tech tree involved, but you never know right?

Well, personally I don't think they're gonna remove this aspect from DoW2 since it was a crucial and great element of DoW 1, but I can imagine that they will set limitations just like in CoH, so that the (main) base building will be only allowed in your main sector or something like this.

Btw: I read that DoW2 will have a full cooperative Multiplayer-Mode. I hope this also means that the story driven campaigns are finally coming back to DoW. I loved the cutscenes and dialogues in DoW and WA...

we definitely know there are sm and orks in dow2.

problem is, whilst i can see the thunder hammer and obviously hear the ork noises, either there are new hitting effect sounds (the clinking armour, could be a new nob model) or a free for all (three way+, you never know), with orks and sm and another unidentified race in it (the other races in dow2 have not been confirmed yet)

the dutch magazine was PC Gameplay, the April edition. I've gone through the entire vid pausing a couple times every second. it's definately the Force Commander running at the start, I could make out the hammer he was carrying. in the second sequence you can see the hammer clearly, and if you pause sometime at 00:10 you can see him (face is blurred, hope it's Gabriel Angelos). He's wearing red armour with a gold chestplate (i think i can make out the eagle/aquilla sybol on it)and his lower ...

Yep, this is a leaked video of some sort for Dawn of War 2. The Space Marine with a warhammer is the giveaway. A Dutch gaming mag was given a sneek peak at Dow2, and one of the placeholders was a Space Marine hefting a giant hammer. Will this be part of the new cinematic? I don't know. All I know is that it's for DoW2, and it absolutely rocks.
