@GSwarriors716 I'm fairly sure they use a delay for this riff, even in the studio version. I haven't seen them live...but are you sure they use a pre-recorded version? Are you sure they don't just play the riff with the delay setting, just like it's done on the album?

They dont play the intro live, because when they used to they would play it and get it started looping, but it was too hard to keep it synced up right throughout the entire song. If they were just a tiny bit too short or long on the loop by the end of the song it would be way off.

I remember when I saw them touring with misery signals and 18 vissions just before "I am hollywood" came out they played this song and they didnt use anything prerecored, I remember cause as I was watching him play that part I was like "thats awesome"..but ya they also only have one guitarist now so they kind of dont have a choice except to run prerecorded stuff

to be honest, that would be a pretty hefty task to play that intro clean with the right distortion, u cant use the same distortion used in the studio live, it sounds cheap live, just like if u use a camera or a microphone verses straight plug-ins
