@docjazz4 I understand that one should bend forwards when playing the high notes on an alto C ocarina. However, what I don't understand is why can't we just stay in that position the whole time? Is there a need to ever leave the acute bend and instead use it for not only the high notes but also the low notes? Also, why do you move so much when playing? You sway from side to side a lot. Does this do something to the sound of the ocarina? or are you just using it to keep track of rhythm? Thanks

@1Celebrindor the acute bend is used to enhance the volume of the notes,if used on the low notes they get really loud,in some ocasions not a good idea nowadays.

if you see GOB they are almost always using the accute bend for loud music
