  • I love Sondheim's word play in this show

  • may I aks, what does Susan say at 5:38?

  • @TheMrDrek I believe..."Plus you worry about kids tracking in dirt, or falling over."

  • I'm sorry but this is an awful production of this show. A gimmick concept that does not service the play, and the actors are practically dead.

  • Sorry Grateful is such a good song.

  • hahahaha, at 7:12 hes like "uuuhhh, what?" like "are you kidding?"

  • 7:02 AWWWW-KWAAAAAAARD!

  • Who's the actor playing the cello?

  • @bergamotblonde fred rose

  • Sorry... good as these people are, they don't erase my memory of the Tunick orchestrations. This is just a clever gimmick, not truly the right "sound".

  • Most Important: Company

Best Script: Sunday in the Park With George

Best Score: A Little Night Music

    The Masterpiece: Sweeney Todd

That's my perspective on the genius.

  • @corteo12002 mine is slightly different

    Most Important: Company

    Best Score:Follies

    Best Script: Into the Woods

    The Masterpiece: Sweeney Todd

  • I wish my high school would preform this play. I'd do it any day. It's in my Top Ten. And that's pretty good since I have alot of them :) Haha.

  • since when is a religious leader a swear? jesus!

  • When she says "Harry, I love you!" and then he doesn't respond, I feel SO bad for her character!

  • amazing

  • Thanks for posting these Billy...this show is brilliant! I only knew 'Being Alive' and LOVED the song...now I love the entire show...I'm hooked !!

  • I absolutely love Sondheim!

I might get to participate in my town's production of Company this summer/fall!

I'm auditioning for it, I know that. They're doing TWO Sondheim shows, Company and Gypsy, this year. :)

  • I love this musical!

  • Im trying to find sweeney todd where the actors play the instruments. Saw it in London it was fab.

  • "you're the first to know."

    "... oh. "

  • it's just so amusing how he has to have the cello with him in all scenes xD

  • One of my professors totally used a potted joke on me in class

  • This makes me cry. It was the most astonishing performance I've ever seen. Thanks for posting.

  • right?! since i first saw this preformance a couple weeks ago i've watched it a dozen times or so....

  • They're all so great! But this girl who plays Jenny is like so perfect for the part, she's so convincing as a bit of a... square lol. I love this show, definitely in my top 3 favorite Sondheim shows.

  • Yeah. Leenya Rideout definitely has that librarian look to her that makes her perfect as Jenny.

  • lol, I only know three Sondheim shows, this one, Sweeney Todd, and Into the Woods.

  • My favs are Company, Sunday in the Park with George, and A Little Night Music. I also love Sweeney and ITW.

  • @bohemiawelcumsyou Dont forget Forum and Assasians :D

  • I love this performance, too, my favorite Sondheim shows are:

    1. Sweeney Todd (1979 production)

    2. Company (2006 production)

    3. A Little Night Music

Sondheim is quite my favorite musical composer ever.

  • Show more Fred & Leenya! I went to college with those sick talents. So proud of them :)

  • NO WAY!! You did not! That is soo awesome, i am a total company geek! i love them! were they fun?

  • WAY!!! We all went to CU Boulder and they were both very cool. Leenya was a serious student while double majoring with violin and Fred has always been a total easy-going sweetheart. So...I would love to see more of the "pot" scene, please!

  • That's kind of ironic, that they went to college together...and then they played opposite each other....

But that's really awesome. I'm pretty jealous.
