It was also aimed at the 1970's American family which were very unhealthy eaters as was pretty much everyone else following the Americans whom were very much on top of the world in that era.

Twenty years ago I was body building and got off the fried foods. So even now that I'm back to being out of shape, except for the 1/2 mile I swim three times a week. when I sink my teeth into the tasty fried skin of chicken, I'm generally repulsed by what seems like a layer of grease immediately below the skin and before the meat.

KFC or McDonalds or any of them, I usually feel like I've been given a low-grade of poison.

The colonel was white and made the chicken for us white folk as much as he did for people of any other colour. Let's face it. Fried chicken is simply delicious no matter what colour your skin is. Popeye's is much better than KFC though, and they don't have the reputation of abusing the chickens.
