  • So did you find any oil leak? I keep getting the smell of burning oil, I had the head gasket seal replaced but it still smells. Really strong inside the car. I took it back to the garage and they can't find a problem

  • @gosiaczek3001 I was thinking the same. Where did the oil leak come from? Having the same problem with my car and I need to locate the leak.

  • @64jcl Valve Caver Gasket. You should see oil leaking on the passenger side of the engine bay. If you already replaced the gasket and are having the same symptoms. Check the work again and make sure any oil that leaked already before the job was done is cleaned up. Sometime oil will leak and stay in puddles on the heat shield and splash shield under the engine

  • @olaf2046 Ok, cool to hear you got it fixed. I am having my car to an engine wash at the shop, it was rather cheap so its nice to have the car standing there to have them look at where the oil leak is coming from too. Crossing my fingers hoping its something cheap. :)

  • @gosiaczek3001 When you say Head Gasket Seal do you mean the Valve Cover Gasket? Because that is the only place when oil leaks from that dribbles onto the heat shields and burn off towards the cabin ventilation entrance. Maybe the job wasn't done properly.

  • i also dont happen to have the intake part that you removed, it didnt come with my car when i purchased it

  • @xxSmKdxOuTxx If your car is a manual/stick shift then it won't have that part.

  • did that panel/screen come stock with your bmw?

  • @xxSmKdxOuTxx yeah it only comes on steptronic E46 and M3 cars that have the extra fan in the engine

  • $2 part for the rubber mount.

  • @sunnyjason sweet!

  • How did you remove the engine fan

  • @bganiev1 you need the Fan Removal Tools. The sell them all over eBay from $20 and up. FYI: The GM tools are the same as the BMW tools only cheaper. My DIY write up for removing the fan is in the DIY Section on the e46fanatic website. Or just google for it and my DIY write up will come up since I have them at e46fanatics, bimmerforums, bimmerfest, bimmerwerkz, unitedbimmer, e46zone, e46toronto, bimmerpost, etc...

  • where did you find your steering wheel from I am looking for the suede one with no paddles if you remember please let me know

  • @drifter247 eBay...there is lots of them.
