  • This song has suddenly become relevant again. Scary.

  • @Layerboyz more relevant if we switch russiasn with americans...

  • Am I the only one that realizes this is just "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" with different lyrics over the top?

  • @klaatuprime2 Nope, it's" The Troika" from "Lieutenant Kijé" by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev. Emerson Lake and Palmer used it in a song as well as Woody Allen using it in the film "Love and Death"

  • ooooooooh its so freaky yet is a joke i know that it was at that time the world was going to end but there was wrong either side was scared to hell from each other remember paul mccartney no 1 ever left a life in 1985 well ever do she may wrong she may be cause am in love 'n' i you ! so scary but funny long live the son of men know the time to come .AMEN!

  • They love they love them! more than americans do!

  • When Nikita Khrushchev said "We will bury you" to The Americans, he meant industrially, not literally. I was surprised that Sting, who is an intelligent, well educated man got this wrong as did a lot of people.

  • @Jay435 its a song

  • @fearsrampage1313 Sting's an intelligent man - great insights to the human condition, a finger on the pulse of our world. He has great influence but got it completely wrong regarding "we will bury you" and he is conveying his take on it to the world. In response, a voice in the world is conveying that he misinterpreted the statement which is inflammatory to Russians. It's more than a song, it's a message and it's skewed in that part we speak of but I love the artist. BTW Merry Christmas!

  • @Jay435 what the hell are you?

  • @fearsrampage1313 How am I to respond to a vague and unintelligable question that is more accusation than question anyway? Try to have a point. Anyway, just forget about it okay. My point is that a huge public figure made quite a fuss over that statement by Nikita Khrushchev and got the context wrong and that is acknowledged in political history. What are you - thick?

  • @Jay435 I dont see why you go into big rants about what a song changed from a quotes meaning.

  • @fearsrampage1313 LOL, Ok, here's my last word on this, it's getting old: A rant is to exclaim wildly, violently - to go on & on (Websters Dictionary)- I have hardly done this. A major public figure with huge influence has misconstrued the meaning of a famous quote & has broadcasted it to tens of millions of people - potentially inflammatory. It's not just a song to Sting, it's a sweeping statement & the part I speak of is intrinsically & historically incorrect, hence my response.

  • @Jay435 you are ranting because i dissagree with you. i really hope you didnt actully go through the trouble to use websters dictonary to tell me what rant means

  • @fearsrampage1313 I quote you: "You are ranting because I disagree with you" - so anyone who disagrees with you must be ranting. You actually do need to read the dictionary to learn what ranting means but while you're doing that, do me a favour - don't contact me anymore please.

  • @Jay435 disagree= cause Rant=outcome diffrent people would have diffrent reactions to me disagreeing with them some may judge me because i disagree others might not care that i dissagre and others may go on a rant about how im wrong.

  • Rest in peace,Zhenya Tabakov.

  • Reagan was the worst piece of shit ever!

  • @ramsamoetsingh What the FUCK is wrong with you! i could understand if you were german but your from the netherlands! So much for us from stopping the germans in WWII from taking all of europe!

  • @AlcoFan2010

What the hell has WW II got to do with it?

  • @ramsamoetsingh I get high, too, so how are u unclear on the formation of N.A.T.O. and modern western Europe via the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA SAVING THE ENTIRE WORLD through not merely CRUSHING any and all foes, but also GIVING AWAY SUPPLIES TO EVEN...WAIT FOR IT....RUSSIA. History clears it up FAST.

  • @AmandaPanda194 well the issue was at the time of world war 2 a large portion of the soviet industrial base was destroyed/occupied by either German, Italian, Romanian, or Hungarian armies fighting in the titanic struggle known as the Ost front or eastern front. so naturally the U.S., recognizing a Russian collapse would not benefit the allies the u.s. supplied the russians with overwhelming material support. WW2 was a war of production plain and simple.

  • @Rimasta1 Thank you for an intelligent reply. As you have knowledge and interest perhaps you will enjoy reading F.W. Winterbotham's "The Ultra Secret"; id est, WWII was merely a matter of time. Peace, Friend BTW, Amanda is my daughter.

  • @Rimasta1 maybe there were alot of the material sent but not much actulay arrived for a front that is 1,5 thousent km long... and how many deliveryes were there? so US contribution was apretiated but not very usseful... i mean not in maayor way i mean,,,,

  • @kerier1911 who do you think equipped the russian army with tens of thousands trucks, jeeps, and half-tracks allowing the red army to make real substantial breakthroughs by allowing the soviet infantry to become mechanized and just as important it allowed soviet factories to concrete production on two main chassis of tank, the KV, and the T-34. The KV was used to build the Stalin tanks as well. given how close the battle was at times, its doubtful the war would have ended as soon as it did.

  • @Rimasta1 well yeah jeeps i agree but russians used alot of horses:) i agree that the tanks like bt-2 and bt-7 are baset on USA chasis but kv's is russian and before the war started russia actualy suplid the nazys with material so do you actualy think that russia didnt have something for it self?

  • @kerier1911 more important than the jeeps we supplied russia with trucks, trucks and half tracks to allow soviet infantry to become mechanized so they could exploit a breakthrough made by their tank forces. also American made trucks were used for their Katusha rockets or stalins organ as its also known. KV is Russian sorry if i made it sound like i said otherwise. KV and the T-34 chassis were Russian designs but American material aid allowed them to build more of their own tanks.

  • An anthem for life
