You forget that the TG Hilux had to have the head taken off and the injectors cleaned before it would start again. TG is an entertainment show, so don't try to use anything you see on there as a "fact" when arguing.

These so called buy a ??? people aye!. I have a 1997 Discovery 1 V8 it has never let me down. I have driven it in China, I live in HK, and to Indonesia, where I have a house, and back. I will never sell it. Maintenance is the key.

As I have been sub contracted by Top Gear twice. 1: Polar challenge and killing a Hi-lux were sponsored by Toyota and 2: youtube this, BBC-Topgear Landrover. All three presenters own a 110 landy and 90% of their shows are shot from the back of a range rover. Love your Toyota's etc but spill crap for younger viewers to buy your cars. Let them VIEW it for them selves. Land Cruisers are fine if you can drive. Ive had 2 and 37 LR's!!
Well I saw Top Gear UK in the South America special, and the best survivor was an old Range Rover V8. The Landcruiser had lot problems, together with the samurai.

@sitandswivelnow If you watched all the Top Gear Hilux episode, they crashed it into a few walls, trees, put it in the sea, burnt it, put it on top of a falling down high rise building and drove it through porter cabins. etc... And it the end it drove in,! It was still driving. I'd very doubt a Landrover would hold out so well..
