no. the gimli glider was a -200 model. this flight, toronto to vancouver, is only operated by a 767-300. But this was taken 2 years ago so now this route is flown by a 777

It can also be done by the 763! I've flown them a couple weeks back on a 763. The choice during times is the 763/319/320 and in rare cases the A321, but yes the 777 will operate this route sometimes!

I was a crew member with Air Canada, so i can tell you that we were growing. Overall compared to other major airlines in north america, we were good but in the world market not so much. The planes were in the middle of getting makeover, service was being updated.
