My only thing about the "new" GNR is this, the band themselves are great, the music sounds fantastic and i think DJ ashba is great, BUT axl just cant sing like he used to and to me that was the most iconic part of the band, unfortunately you cant sing like that forever and i think age has caught up with axl and perhaps its time to stop, not trying to be a dick just saying youve got to know when to fold em

@evidentlyavid, I agree with you. I saw the these guys when they came through Canada in January. I went in thinking it might be lame, but I was blown away. I saw teh original GNR back in the 90's and I think the new band is a much fuller and bigger sound. If they can write some really good new songs, this band could once again be a global headliner. It was a really good show with many good musicians.
I know a lot of people only like Velvet Revolver or the new Guns n Roses. I like both. Axl is a legend and I believe Scott will be considered one as well down the road. Both are amazing live. They are both true rock stars!!! On another note, STP's new album comes out May 25th!!!
I`m so tired of the old vs new GNR. Duff and Slash is gone and they are not coming back. It was their decision to leave. Slash is just a hasbeen needle junkie who collaborates with Fergie and the BackStreet Boys anyways.
@flogworth Axl kicked nobody out!! They all left by choice, and Slash recently stated that Velvet Revolver were the worst 5 years of his life. They really all hated Scott and were just with him for the money. I'm glad axl called this band gn'r cus that way he could pla yas many old songs as he wants, which prooves he still loves the old material. You have a lot to learn about rock integrity my confused little friend lol
people need to let this whole slash shit go...yes he is amazing but without axl rose that group would have been mediocer at best...yes they were great musicians but they all sounded the same..axl rose is a rock legend because of his voice...and I mean ashba is amazing so I will stick with watching axl rose and these so called punks then watching slash and fergie play haha anytime
Richard fortus...Copy of Izzy? because he has black hair.. you're a fucking moron. Foprtus is a pretty tastey guitar player with a complete different style to Izzy. izzy has a laid back approach to guitar whereas Ricnard is pretty balls out.
@mrphilcollins Rich actually takes GR8 solos and rumors stated he is heavily involved with the next gn'r album. I consider him more a lead guitar player actually :D
At the end of the day arguing about the band members is a waste of time.. the guys that are in Guns today are excellent musicians..and they seem to be able to pull off he songs alot better than the old lot on a higher success rate than the original band. i think although seeing the original band would be pants stainingly brilliant i think we may aswell just enjoy what we got as Axls putting on some awesome performances.
