Excellent job mate. I also think that this game is impossible with 1 credit, but easier with 2 credits. This game has adjusted difficulty, so when you lose the first life it decreases, and also when you continue. Are you playing on Normal difficulty? Because when I play there are more enemies on the first stages, I usually finish 2nd stage with 160 kills. When I lose my first life then it becomes easier, like the difficulty you play through at first. Quite strange. Two thumbs up!

@MrMaskaman: I forget, but it's most likely "easy" mode (far from easy). Medium difficulty or above is pointless because a few stages have too many enemies. You'll either be overwhelmed by them, or you'll die from the hidden timer for being patient. The difficulty will then drop to "easy" for a while anyway. Stage 5 is impractical on anything besides easy, and stage 8 is unreal no matter what you do. The only way to 1C the game is to not die on stage 5.
