  • This should have totally stayed in.

  • i would rather this still be in

  • Narnia's White Witch ;)

  • I would dream to be in that island with Leonardo DiCaprio

  • This would have added more depth to the journey, and it isn't like the movie is long. Shoulda kept this in the movie

  • That's a damn good movie.

  • So glad they deleted this scene, completely ruins the pace and quality of the film

  • That's so wonderful

  • Thats an error at 2:47

On the island of phi phi leh this is gap in between the cliff rocks, but it was digitally added to the movie, so that there was no gap. But here there is a gap lol.

  • I've been on this island. It's amazing. Why? Because Leonardo DiCaprio stepped on it.(':

  • @MissHereWeAre I want to do that TOO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Would have explained more, and repaired a tiny bit from the fact that they didn't follow the book at all sometimes.

    Where was Jed??

  • he fucker her twice

  • Tim.....i've been travelling non stop for 2 years now - brian - u can meet people if you put in the effort - either via forums - or try LonelyPlanetLove website

  • Im so pissed they left out the character of Jed in this. i dont get how it can even me called the same thing without him?

  • freaking raiden

  • anyone else regulate their breathing when watching underwater scenes in films?

  • Not all that, but they should have left it in ... it resonated more with what I enjoyed about the book. The whole film should have been a bit more like this.

In the film, up until find the beach it's enjoyable, they're on an adventure ... after they find the beach, the movie is garbage. A real lost opportunity.

  • Good they let it out, he get's out the water in to the boat and suddenly he has gell in his hair, yeah right...

  • @DDAYlives - it is gelly water, ideal for playboys.

  • ha ha Leo sneezed.

  • when he said he almost drowned , it reminded me of his line in whats eating gilbert grape when he said "i could've DROWNDED!" hahahaha leo is sooooo sexy (: -3

  • dude... I would have drowned. Who holds their breath that long....

  • Oh Leonardo DiCaprio <3 he's so deadly

  • the film was pure rapeage of the book, still I like it. Cause it's the only film in it's genre... (backpackersmovie)

  • @zimonslot Agree with the comment about the book, it is a horrendous attempt at making it into a film. But there are other movies like this, and better than this: Into the wild, Motorcycle diaries are two of my faves.

  • good thing someone did this,, why did they excluded this from the movie??

  • Strange thing about the sound. Sal starts the engine but you don't hear it any longer at 5:04...

  • This scene makes the movie like 15 % better . They were dumb to take it out.

And yes monsterinyourpocket If she didn't do it she sure knows who did.

  • This scene makes the movie like 15 % better . They were dumb to take it out.

  • this scene is alot more like in the book cause they never show the air pocket he finds which in the book is actually a big deal

  • @GriffinMcNown

I think he just resurfaces on the other side... and nearly drowns in the process.

  • @Santos775 But in the book when he saves the swede he ends up in the air pocket, i thought that was a good part

  • @GriffinMcNown Yeah, in the book he swins with Jed (would've been cool if they had him the movie) the first time he visits the cave and ends up the air pocket. Figure it would've difficult to shoot a scene like that... Great book though ...

  • @Santos775 For sure

  • you know why they left it out cos the boat came out in the sea across from the beach so why would they have had to swim 'under' when they could have just swam around lol

  • I was watching this film on TV recently and the person i was watching with made the observation that someone had killed Daffy. Maybe she did. I didnt think that was possible at first because i just took it that Daffy had killed himself, but now seeing her lame excuse in this scene of why he killed himself, it definitely would make a lot of sense.

  • can somone upload the rest of this scene when they end up having sex in the hotel room

  • I'm evil, I shouldn't have found that funny... 1:49 (Pah ha ha ha!!!)

  • The underwater scenery is absolutely gorgeous!

  • Comment removed

  • Beautiful! Wish it was in!

  • f*** the 2 people that dont like this

  • one of the greatest books ever

  • watching this felt like finding some hidden memory souvenir. dont particularly like the swimming scene tho, but the dialogue on the boat is great

  • good they should have left it in

  • why didnt they swim in the way the boat came out ?

  • cool video...why they deleted this part of video?? 5:45 minutes is bad idea to delete it

  • What a beautiful scenery.

  • lol "I coulda DROWNDED, Gilbert!!"

  • i love this movie and love leonardo dicaprio

  • whats the film like about ive never seen it , its obv on a beach and that...

  • they completly changed the book to the point where it couldn't be based on the book anymore

  • could you possibly put up the scene with richard and franciose is it when she is taking pictures of the nightsky? gotta love that scene

  • @isaican i like that scene too, can somebody put it up pls?

  • @IloveZackFair97

ye its true HAHAHHAHAHA roar blee HUSUHuhsasa

  • i hate that sao woman she almsot ruins the film 4:14 "richard i have nooo ideaaaaaa maybe hee liked you....... i dont know i dont know...."

  • soooooo, why did they leave out this beautiful scene??

  • Now I understand why nobody wanted to come with her!!

  • This video makes the scenes with Daffy make so much more sense. Just continuing his work after he kill himself..

  • Sadly they did not include the scene from the book, where Richard accidently comes up to early and finds himself stuck in an air pocket, thus being completely disoriented. Combined with Leo's acting, this could have been great.

  • @hudson0815 i didn't know it was made from a book. Do you know the author? I bet it would be a better book. Although those beach scenes would be very hard to describe without being able to see them :)

  • @jcuh22

OMG, read it, instantly. It's a great book by Alex Garland. And believe me, he describes it perfectly fine. The book is superior, altough I have to hand it to Danny Boyle, he conveyed the atmosphere of the book quite well.

  • cuz this scene so boring

so why they cutted it off

  • This film was ok ,the shame is all the deleted scenes would have made it a very much better movie, also i think they should have let it end with the negative scene, being picked up by the tourist boat and not the netcafe scene.

  • he should have gone to get rice with jed, the original character

  • why did they delete it ??

  • he gave him the map because he knew richard was gonna screw it all up...

  • to tell you the truth the book was far more better then the movie.. simply because it was MORE detailed and Thrilling

  • Comment removed

  • i agree, they so should of left the scene in!!!!

  • good scene but there were some faulty bits in it...probably why they deleted it!

  • i luv him soooooooo much ....♥

  • thanks for uploading this!

  • They should have kept this scene in it! it shows what the book is like a bit more, but still LOVE this movie lol xxx

  • @DebbieHarryxxx

jeah! just Sal, not Jed! nut, nevertheless

  • I know lol but jed wasn't even in the movie? Oh well hahaha

  • @DebbieHarryxxx

Jed was my favourite character in the book!

  • Mine too, but it goes to show how much of the book was different so that they had to drop a character like him. Richard is a different character also.

  • I just wanted to where can I get the DVD with the added footage or deleted scenes from?great movie when ur with a beautifull fillipina women like me.any suggestion where?

  • then later on she tells him to have sex with her and then after they done it shes like "your just a man who ive had sex with now get some rest i may wish to have sex again later" she ends up lying thats the reason y she picked him to go with

  • I would like to find some place in which I would forget reality and all the bad things about the whole world, but if I wouldn't be happy, how could any place make me happy?

  • hmmm, the explanation about Daffy here wanting the island to return to natur isn't exactly true to the book. In the book, he only wanted an eden as such where only select people could live, where they wouldn't have to jointhe real world, for people who couldn't face reality and he's killed himself because he realised his paradise was ruined when people turned up who weren't invited

  • Leo's so tan in this movie ahahha

  • This scene reminds me of a Stanley Kubrick film. What with the long wide parallel shots and the quietness when he's swimming in the cave.

  • there was a scene in the very first trailer snippet where richard was doing shadow boxing on a cliff edge with one of the thai drug dealers bandana on. i cant find that scene anywhere. anyone seen it before?

  • ah whats another 5 mins? they should have left it in

  • yeah, or at least make a directors cut. But this scene kinda slows down the pace of the film. I could have watched it even if it was 5 hours long, but then they could have made it more liek the book. Vietnam and all.

  • @brianfils0n i agree

  • agreed, they could've left this in for what chocopeanut said, and to help further show richard's fascination with daffy, which felt a bit underdeveloped and rushed like his alienating time in the woods. especially if you've read the book, although i read it after having seen this a few times.

  • So in the end Daffy got his wish. He saw in Richard the man who , willfully or not, will in the end expose the island and thus force the rest of them to leave it. Maybe he was not so crazy after all. Ty for the video.

  • I have thought about the same thing but why would anyone like to ruin a paradise?!

  • I think Richard IS Daffy. Nobody ever saw them together, Daffy went crazy, and when he returned to the island, everyone just treated him like he was someone different. If only because he was easier to live with after his 'Death'. Fracoise and Etienne never new any different.

  • they definitely should have kept this in the movie, it helps explain daffy a little bit

  • leo cn gli okiialini è sexy ahahahah

  • ma qnt caz lo trattengono il respiro?

  • I like this scene...should have kept it in.
