@hazelfacade2 the flat of the capo is still on the front of the fretboard so it is still pushing the strings down. it is just upside down. i play like that myself when i capo high up coz i find it gives me more space for my left hand.

Note if you are trying to learn this, in standard tuning, capo 7th and not 8th.
