  • Interesting how Bunin plays it almost like a March...

  • I love him so much!!! And his interpretation of this is my favorite as is all interpretations of his!!

  • Such a difficult piece to pull off. Immensely difficult. Arthur Rubinstein wrote of meeting Saint-Saëns when the former was a young man. S-S ran to the piano and announced he would play his favorite Chopin composition and this is the piece he played. Rubinstein wrote he'd never heard it played faster!

  • This piece is too long and repetitive. An interesting performance, although a little exaggerated in places, spoiling the freshness.

  • Wow! Thank you for such an upload! Really enjoyable to listen such a musical and accurate performance

  • This guy has a special magic and charm to his playing- it's much more than just shaded, graceful chopin .He has personality and CHARISMA ! I can't believe he wasn't chastized for this reading which is willful and not exactly what is written in the score (staccato chords at cadences of expo's phrases are just one nasty point!). He is often referred to when prof talk about this period .So glad to be able to see his prize winning performances!!!
