This guy has a special magic and charm to his playing- it's much more than just shaded,graceful chopin .He has personality and CHARISMA ! I can't believe he wasn't chastized for this reading which is willful and not exactly what is written in the score (staccato chords at cadences of expo's phrases are just one nasty point!). He is often referred to when prof talk about this period .So glad to be able to see his prize winning performances!!!
Interesting how Bunin plays it almost like a March...

This piece is too long and repetitive. An interesting performance, although a little exaggerated in places, spoiling the freshness.
