Frozen Zune Screen - Z2K9?

It sucks because not even the manual restart works (hold back button and the up buttom for like 3 seconds then let go)

what i did to fix it was drain the battery and wait 5 hours and every hour or so i pressed the pause and play button to make sure it was drained i then connected it to a pc with no zune software and let it charge. the charging icon appeared till it turned off. i un pluged it and turned it on by pressing the middle button and ta da it worked i then let it charge compleatly and now it works again.

I have a video showing you how to fix this problem if you are willing to take apart your zune.

Otherwise you will have to wait until the internal clock rolls over to January 1, 2009

Read the latest update on Zunes website. The problem will self correct tomorrow when the internal clock automatically resets. The problem is caused by a bug in the internal clock related to the way the zune handles a leap year. Run your battery out and you may need to resync tomorrow at noon GMT. They will also be updating the firmware so this doesn't happen again on the next leap year.

then... grab your flat head and lift up on the battery brown clip slowly lift the flat copper wire that was connect to it . do the same for the hard drive connector. only need to unplug no more than 10 seconds.

then plug everything back slowY~!, and put the cover back and the screws back .

then walaaHHH! your zune should boot up to the norm.
