  • Dude, was this an f21 or what?

  • I was working in Windsor this day. It was the scariest thing I've been part of. We knew what it was, everyone did because we'd been on tornado alert for a week or two at this point. Watching it come and go, it really did look like a giant wall of rain, which we get a LOT of around here. however, the coloring in the clouds and the color of the giant funnel made it more obvious.

  • looks like a big dust devil that is all nothing more looks like our economy pretty weak

  • actually there is an f6 you can never predict how powerful nature can be who knows maybe one day there will be an f10. now that would probably tear an entire state up

  • The strength of the tornado doesn't depend of it's size, so please stop saying "wow that's a huge one, it must be an F6" (plus it doesn't even exist). You know the strength only with the damages it caused.

  • @Yunelenna

wow man that looks like an F-15 like the plane dude............

  • Comment removed

  • it could have been a f5

  • kids because mama cares about you lets drive right into a huge tornado and get killed! good plan right?

  • EF-5!!!!

  • NICE A F5!

  • @aussieb007

This was not an F5, it was an EF3

  • @dragonridley well what ever it is,ITS FUCKIN BIG!

  • @aussieb007

    Agreed there

  • @dragonridley NO IT WASNT IT WASNT IT WAS F-4!! I WAS IN IT. YOU WERENT.

  • @TheFattyLucy

I've read NOAA's report, the NWS rated EF3.

The fact that you experienced a tornado doesn't make you an expert. The people at the National Weather Service, however, are experts.

  • @dragonridley your wrong and i know that for a fact it said all over the news that DAY. It is even on one of my t-shirts i got several weeks after the tornado. And You wouldnt know so shut up

  • @TheFattyLucy

It may have been rated EF4 from the preliminary survey but those ratings are subject to change. It usually takes a day or two to give the official rating and even after that it can be changed. I'm looking at NOAA articles as I type this and they clearly state that this was an EF3.

Or do you mean to say that the National Weather Service somehow got its own rating wrong?

  • @dragonridley No Matter what you say i know its wrong. One of my good friends is better at weather than you and he says it was EF4. Back off i was there.

  • @TheFattyLucy

I'm not basing any of my statements on my own knowledge of the scale. I realize that I'm not an expert.

But those who work at the NWS are.

I can even send you the link to prove my claims.

  • @dragonridley I dont need to be proved im wrong. You think that im wrong talk to my weather expert dylan.

  • @TheFattyLucy

I think I might have discovered the source of our disagreement.

I won't go into details but I've read that it is possible for two different groups to survey damage from the same tornado and arrive at two different ratings. Example: One tornado in 1995 was rated F4 by the NWS survey while another survey rated it F5.

So I concede that this tornado may have reached EF4 intensity. Something that could have been confirmed by some surveys but not by others.

  • @TheFattyLucy

But anyway, I'm getting tired of this. I have other things to than argue about the rating of a tornado.

  • @dragonridley Lol and i agree with the ur comment down there V V

  • dude i live in colorado and i dont even remember this man im such a loser. but the aurora tornado was on my birthday and i live by southlands (the mall that got hit) so im that much of a loser

  • i remember that i was scared !

  • i bet no ones getting pulled over for speeding next to that thing

  • wow

  • I was IN that tornado......... my school was at the PARK when the damn thing hit >.> i was on a bus and we drove right thru it o3o

  • Hey thats the station where I'm from. Zach Daniels was the Chielf Metetorologist in Richmond.

  • Man I was on a field trip, I always miss out on the exciting stuff.

  • Um... don't those people on the highway see that there's a tornado right next to them?

  • well, sometimes people are at the wrong place at the wrong time. i live about 10 miles from where this tornado happened. I watched the news, and many people did stop, and pull over to the side of the highway. So yeah, they saw it coming, and most of them stopped. and the rest maybe panicked, or thought they could beat the storm/tornado. I'd probably drive for my life too.

  • I live in greeley in weld that was a scary day.

  • ...haha, come on guys. I thought it was funny. "I will not drink wen im older"

Not funny someone driving a truck got hit by a tornado, but..yeah.

    Funny comment.

  • theres one in colorado now....my friend is freaking out but i say it isnt that bad

  • there is it was so awesome!! i actually got to see the tornado

  • my birthday was may 22 last year

  • The pepole who drive's there cars into the tornado, is idiots, they are risking their lives!

  • Most of those people probably did not realize what this was. We don't get these very often in this area, especially this big. Driving alongside it, it would have looked like a dark thunderstorm, which we get tons of around March- June.

  • This happened a week after I came back from visiting my dad in Tellride, San Miguel County, Colorado. I am thankful that a tornado did not hit there.

  • f1,000,000,000 tornado? lmao

  • wow i still rember that i live in greely and when i saw on the news that there was a tornado that large i was fucking scared.

  • this is weird !!!

i been haveing weird dreams about tornados .

and avery time i watch the news theirs a tornado in some stater ....

i was their watching the tornado in my dream and then when im right in front of it i pop out of my tornado dream and wake up !

  • that was the rare ef5

  • No it was an EF3.

  • My brother was in Greeley at UNC at the time the tornado hit Windsor and the Platteville area. Scary stuff. Thankfully he was ok. Colorado seems to be getting hit more and more by tornadoes lately -Holly, Platteville, Windsor, Ellicott-so it kinda makes me wonder what's goin' on here.

  • the tornado ate a pizza

  • my speakers sound weird

  • i live i Colorado Fort Carson

my bro seen it ......on post

  • FUCKING HUGE MAN HOW THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEND did thet tornado ate lots of things.

  • ok.I've heard people say that the last EF5 tornado was may 9th 1999 but I don't understand how this isn't a EF5 tornado I mean look at it over a mile wide. And those people on the freeway I don't know how they couldn't see that tornado so close to them.

  • because the scale is based on wind speed and damage, not width

  • i live bout a hour away from der

  • denver is lucky the tornado didnt even hit denver...that would of cost milleons

  • tornado warnings are scary.ive had it once in the springs and i saw the funnal cloud...but it didnt touch.but it was scary

  • Weld County, Colorado is one of the most tornado-prone counties in the continental United States. Don't be surprised, people. I've been up there durning tornado warnings, it can be pretty scary.

  • yeah it was one scary thing...our school went into lockdown for 2 hours...we had to hide in a bathroom with no windows

  • During that time, I was having my lunch at school. We only got half of our normal lunch time. But I'm kinda glad they interupted us. We had to be prepared to get under cover.

  • Dang that one heck of a tornado.

  • woah THAT IS HUGE!!!

  • damn, not a bud light truck

  • no it was ether a f4 or f5

  • no they said it was like a F2 or F3

  • I live about 3miles west of there... the local weather service announced it was a f4 tornado.

  • :27 that dude is f-ing GIANT! He's as big as the tornado D:

  • bullshit, theres no way a tornado can be that big and be an f2. its gotta be at least a strong f3 or f4

  • @endofdays89

The were still assessing the damage, It was officially rated EF3.

Though they are not rated by size. A huge tornado can get a low rating.

  • @endofdays89 Tornadoes aren't scaled by size, they are scaled by damage, thus this tornado did f-2 damage.

  • @knowsthatknowledge thats wrong!! I was in that stupid tornado and it was F-4!!!! One of the biggest tornados known to man!

  • @endofdays89 It was an f4 I was in it.

  • @endofdays89 A tornado's strenght isn't determined by how big it is, you han have a 100 ft wide F5 or a mile wide F1. The strength is determined by how much it destroys.

  • @Stormchaser2be agreed with you. too many people seem to think this, tho i don't blame them.

  • @endofdays89 size doesn't matter when it comes to strength of a tornado. looking at this one tho i would be leaning toward EF3 or EF4

  • @endofdays89 more of ef5 or ef6

  • @deoxysofshine

There is no such thing as an EF6.

    This was an EF3

  • @endofdays89 The size of the tornado does not determine the rating on the Fujita scale. The calculations are based upon approximate wind speeds, which are calculated from damage seen in the affected area.

  • Zack Daniel sucks. He's no Mike Goldberg and that's why I don't watch their news anymore.

  • no f4

  • The weather channel said that this was only an high end F2..which i cannot believe

  • its a f2

  • Well I was on a feild trip with my class and now that I see that it was so big I am sooo thankful that I wasnt there lol but I mean we're famous now!!! WHOOHOO this is my chance to be a superstar haha

  • That is HUGE.

  • WHO EVER SADE IT WAS AN F-3 YOU ARE WRONG. I SAW THIS THING FOR THIS THING NIPPED MY HOUSE AND WE GOT POWER TODAY! the news said it was an f-4

  • I live in Australia, and when i seen this on the tv news i had to go look up the videos in youtube. My prayers to all of you that know anyone that was hurt or killed in this terrible tornado. Also, there looks like there is a huge cleaup process ahead. It looked very destructive!

  • we made international news? cool lol

  • Yep, you most certainly did! They said it was one of the 'worst tornadoes' to hit the U.S

  • It was a popular headline for newspapers and news programs, but it was devastating for the locals. I lived through that twister, it was not fun. I was at school too, the second to last day of school.

  • @luvluvluv96 it WAS the last day of school.

  • @luvluvluv96 last day for me. Windsor.

  • I have my video uploaded. I was extremely close to the thing...couple hundred yards tops. It was nuts.

  • It's been rated an EF2 to EF3 at its strongest point. Wind speeds approx 136-165.

This is the same as an F2-F3 on the old scale.

  • i saw that live when the tornado touched down at 11:27am. It is estimated as an f3 to f4

  • The weather guy wasnt getting hit by the hail and the cars going by? Poor Zac. HAHA Kidding :)

  • this will probably end up beeing an f5 depending on how much damage was done... no easement can be made until the damage has been calculated...any way i live about 5 minutes from windsor and fort collins only got pea size hale and some funnel clouds but no touch downs...

  • NOOOOOOOOO A BUD LIGHT TRAILER :o

  • It's only by God's grace that more people weren't killed in that massive monster!! WOW!!

  • i was in it

  • I BET IT WAS SIGN TO US PEOPLE FROM GOD

  • I believe that people die because they deserve to go to the next stage of life which is heaven, thats why most of the people that die or get killed are nice people, like the 9/11 all those people probably deserved to go to a better place.

  • by grandpa and I were wondering about that, how great the cost would have been if one were to hit denver.

  • omg the first one travled 34 miles!!! it was scarry. tornado tirens were going off in denver (where i live)

  • That waz a crazy Tornado.I wasn't in it but I live in Loveland CO, and it was kind of close to where I was at. My school went under complete lockdown and we couldn't leave da building. Da hail was huge too.

  • Crazy shit.

  • This was scary. I live in greeley almost RIGHT BY highway 34 where it touched down. My mom, sis and I would probably be able to see it out our back window if we weren't in the Denver Doll Emporium. Kosi 101 was on the radio when suddenly we all heard "There was a tornado touchdown in Greeley"or something like it. We were scared out of our minds.Later we heard it was by highway 34. Luckily,it didn't damage our house, but I'm extremely sorry for those who had family members severly injured.

  • Was that a Bud Light truck flipped over? I bet the first responders responded to that poor truck driver first. I would have, especially after seeing that huge monster.

  • omg i saw that tornado today!!! that thing was crazy, but it did to TONS of damage and i bet it was way scary for ppl in the schools and stuff.
