Paul is passing blame from Congress and the Senate, to the Fed.The Fed is a lender, the US Gov is the borrower.You can't blame your bank if you barrow too much money.The Fed has no interest in destroying the US currency or the US financial system. They run many central banks in almost every nation of the world. It would be tremendously bad business for a central bank to drive a major country(USA)into default. Paul is blaming the Fed for his fellow politicians outrageous spending habits.

Thanks a7green... I believe it was not promoted very well... there are others I talked to that didn't know about it either. The only reason I knew about it was because one of the speakers told me about it 3 weeks ago. The turnout was very low... nothing like last year's. This year there were only around 200 people or so...

While I would definitely not want Ron Paul as a Commander in Chief, I *do* think he would make a formidable Chief Economic Advisor, etc.

I think the biggest problem facing us (after the looming debt) is getting the younger voting demographic off their friggin iPod and Xbox and start learning how *real* economics, free enterprise and foreign relations work. Critical thinking is a fading art : /

I totally agree with you, gbhobson... we need more and more young people understanding economics... I guess I was fortunate in the respect that my parents never handed me anything... I had my first job at 15 and have been working ever since... I think if these kids had to work to earn what they want they might see the bigger picture... thanks for the comment!

What America needs, is that all it's elected officials to have the integrity and firm commitment to the U.S. Constitution that Ron Paul has embraced!

If this was the case, we wouldn't be involved in undeclared wars and occupation of foreign nations but rather in a much needed war against the Federal Reserve, for robbing the people through their means (inflation) and the U.S. Government would send our troops to every Federal Reserve branch and take back control of this nations monetary policies!

I had a flash today. The Fed has taken this money and spent it somewhere. Where? Imagine school kids getting shot up the nose with a vaccine containing live virus. They are warned not to rub their noses and to wash their hands frequently because they are contagious for 3-21 days...The fed took out life insurance policies on the masses and will stand to collect on the deaths resulting from the current "vaccination" program....That would be just a hoot.

I know! I couldn't believe it either!! I was waiting for the chemtrails but they never came... thank God!!! It was truly a gorgeous day. Lots of sun and blue sky... about 70 degrees. I just wish the turnout had been better. Last year we had around 1000 people show up. Of course, the media skewed those numbers to be lower. Ron gave a great speech as usual... so glad he's in congress! Great to hear from you!

I think that a president who has no foreign entaglements and liberty for the people at heart is the man for the job. A president who wants to police the world is not the right man for the work cut out.
