and Bushflyer is right you got it hooked up wrong . period. furthermore and in conclusion, I would suggest you put your release on the left, it gives you a better angle of attack with your right hand , and( I assume) , it wont be hanging on your reserve side.
Your release jammed as you were releasing under tension.
I suggest if you want to come off-line you signal to the winch operator by opening your legs, if he/she decides to release you the line will go slack and then you release. I also suggest you get some ankle support, you will be amazed how easy it is to snap an ankle, even on a nice soft, flat grassy field. Finally,ALWAYS forward launch on tow, by doing a reverse and turning you risk getting the tow caught on something
You had trouble releasing because your bridle is hooked up wrong. You put your left side through that white loop. It's not a guide!! The white loop on the right side goes through the end loop of the left side. Then so on through the rest of the loops. Go reread the instruction manual for further clarification.
It works both ways, I've tested, the only thing affected is the distance between left to right.
what went wrong was the trigger didn't slide because of too much friction and has nothing to do with the white loop, it is not connected to it, it didn't block at that point.
