Possibly one of the greatest GC games ever. While I love my Mario and Zelda and Pokemon games, the one-shot underrated gems like Eternal Darkness are just as good and worthwhile.

This game was a great title and worth getting if youre a fan of the genre, however so many people seem to overlook all the annoying parts of the game. You first time through you wont really notice them but if you want to go for the special ending, you start to really notice just how tedious most of the game really is. Still worth playing and still a great game, but I just can't agree with people that say its one of the best titles.

Mantarok is the darkness. With no one else to stand agaisnt him (assuming the god of the yellow color would never interfere) he will rule us all. Humanity will not die but we will be chaotic for Mantarok likes to see us prey on each other.

thats pretty much mantorok. but yes these are the gods of darkness so there must be a neutral and a good. and a god of law like mantorok is choas. and since good on its own with no evil there to try and stop would be corrupted and over powering there must be a way to equal it again or face Eternal Blindness. lol now im coming up with stupid fun ideas. this was a great game i wish id reached this ending i only did it once

It would be hard to create another game this amazing, but there are definitely loose ends to tie up between Mantorok dying/plotting and the tome of Eternal Darkness still remaining.

Indeed. Deciding on a timeline to set it in would be tricky, but what with all the 'alternate timestream' trickery in this story, they could still set it at the same time. And they should call it Eternal Silence. ;)

Best 'Lovecraftian' game to date, even better then Dark Corners of the Earth. Anyone who claims ED is a RE rip has not played the game. Their loss.

As much as this game is one of my favorites, there should be no sequel. Part of the allure of this game is not having a clue whats out there (in lovecraftian style), so to create a sequel in which we know of all the entities would be very dissapointing.

As far a video game stories...I think this is the best game ever made. It has the best plot I have ever seen. It's game play isn't the greatest, but you can't play the game all the way through and not be impressed with the compelling storyline. An absolute classic!

underrated, oh yeah most definetly. my memory ccard was messed up when i got this game, i don't know of it was just the memory card itself or the game, guess im just paranoid, the MC was a official nintendo and i don't use third party things

and to who ever is posting these vides, the volume is very loud like you put a mic next to tv speaker while on full blast, trying lowering the volume a little.

The Cube is plugged directly into a capture card to grab this, but I don't know what it is with the Cube, it tends to act as a little amp and as low as you make the volume and the capture volume, it still seems to boom through and distort a little
