No, they are wrong. Onset Of Putrefaction was made using a drum machine. Go to the Toontrack website. That have some pretty high quality drum programming software. Basically what Muhammed did was he recorded he individual drums of a set that belonged to one of his friends and then sequenced them himself. You can get Toontrack Superior Drummer or something similar and do the same thing (except Toontrack probably recorded a much better drumset). Epitaph was recorded using a real drummer.
