You were saying you like to sometimes dabble in Restoration... Personally, I find Alchemy to be a better route, although it does require more investment in points... however, the payoff is that you'll have a virtually endless supply of instant heals, some pretty wicked poisons *fury and paralyze are particularly fun to use*, and the stuff you make that you aren't going to use, you can sell for a pretty ridiculous profit
Just found out a couple days ago that longbows can be drawn/fired waaaay faster than heavier bows, so using a daedric bow for sneak attacks and then switching to longbows to take advantage of paralysis and stagger (you fire more arrows) is a really good strategy for primary bow users.
I came from your Mage build guild. I have a question though. If I wanted to use Light Armor and I'm a Pure mage, and don't use Weapons, would I go up the left path? I know once I hit 100 Smithing I will use Dragonplate, but not at the beginning of my build. Just because I want him to move fast, obviously. So yeah.
@halo4life090 You would be using dragonscale since you said light armor and since (like you said) you aren't using weapons you should probablygo up the left. plus theres less perks to use.
I never trained smithing and only train enchant naturally until lvl 50 cuz it inflates your level too much.
also, the lvl 46+ chillrend is glass smithing and is the only sword in the game with the higher base damage than the deadric sword, so if you wanna go left, go left and use chillrend and itll do more damage than a deadric ever could. pretty cool enchantment too (30 frost dmge and chance of 2 sec paralysis).
TrendKiLLv01 i want you to make a werewolf build however it is not fair that you make a vampire build with is basically a nightblade and make a werewolf build it showing you are in favor of the vampire over the werewolf stop this racisism against the werewolves! The lycans were no longer slaves like on underworld. Stop the werewolves being hated on skyrim. Please.
I will put this on a TON of your skyrim vids till you do this I don't want to do this but i will starting now.
You can get to 100 sneak in the tutorial place, if your with the rebel, the part where he crouches and looks at the bear, just keep sneak killing him with your dagger, when you do the 15x damagers you will start to see some levels flying. I got to level 80 sneak in an hour with an account before leaving the tutorial, then I decided to not even go to whiterun, and just head on over to rifton and start the thieves guild, super fun! props on your assassin build too :) well explained sir.
I think that drain health for the Weapon and Fortify One-Handed/Bows is a good mix... (Fortify OH will give you loots more for the x30 damage with the dagger)
ranger is an awesome perk. if you walk with a drawn bow you walk as if it wasnt drawn so normal speed. That means you can actually dodge attacks and walk backwards at the same speed the enemy chases you so you dont get hit very much
There's always Mehrunes' Razor, which has a chance of instantly killing an enemy. It's like an Ebony Dagger in the way that you can only upgrade it with Ebony Ingots, and it does decent damage too. But, it DOESN'T have an unlimited charge, so eventually the "chance of instantly killing an enemy" thing wears off, and you'll find yourself using the Daedric Dagger again. PLUS, you don't absolutely need Daedric Smithing, you could keep any of the smithing perks before it, though Daedric is the best.
came here from the mage guide>smith link have a question
isnt daedric better than dragonarmor? cause heres dragon mentioned im pretty new and downt want to mess upon ps3 when u cant undo something with console^^
I went alchemy instead of enchanting. Seems more logical for an assassin from a roleplay perspective, plus i've tried enchanting. I chose the left side of the smithing tree :/ Guess I have to live with it.
Hey every Sky-rimmer, just kidding I hope you don't rim. Anyways, if creating this build I recommend the first thing you do out of Helgen is go to the Moss Mother Cavern in Falkreath Hold. Once you are there you will get a quest where you'll need to clear out the cavern with a guy named Valdr. Do this quest because it's simple and the reward is a steel dagger (Valdr's Lucky Blade) with a 25% chance of an instant kill that does not need to be recharged with a soul gem. It has infinite uses!
@KohlV2 correction, Valdr's Lucky dagger has a 25%(extra) chance of producing a critical hit on ANY enemie, while Mehrune's Razor has a 1% chance of insta kill ANY enemy... both do not require charges BUT mehrune's razor is counted as an enchanted dagger, because of that you can't use the elemental fury shout with it, while you can use it with valdr's dagger...
@xXLDeusXx Does Mehrune's Razor really have an unlimited charge? I thought you had to keep recharging it with soul gems. And yeah I know I corrected myself earlier but you or the other few people didn't notice, whatever…
@KohlV2 It has a 25% chance of a CRITICAL HIT... not an instant kill, the only weapon with that ability is Mehrunes' Razor. Also Valdr's blade is justa steel dagger so the extra critical doesn't do much anyway.
@DominiaStudios I understand that. I not only corrected myself but at least 4 other people have corrected me as well. Also, I recommended that it is the first thing that people do out of Helgen so it would actually do a great deal of damage if they are going for daggers or even one handers only…but thanks…?
ok first off,i like this video and the first one...but i think you should put some conjuration in a video because if you dont want illusion or sneak you can summon atroaches to destract and fight youre enimies wile you make a quick escape.
I agree with there is no right build, but i think real assassin uses duel dagger's, somehow i can't do assassin type of character without it lol.
I like to go with Archer/one-handed myself with sneak/pickpocket/smithing/enchanting, i know there is no alchemy, but i like to play the game without the overpowered gear due alchemy potions, weapon and armor becomes way overpowered + if you keep dying without it, you are doing it wrong. :)
I would debate that last point in the one-handed tree. I feel that if you are playing as an Assassin then there is no need to paralyze your opponent for they should all be dying within one hit. And if you do wind up in that situation then you aren't sneaking enough.
This build is great for clearing out most dungeons and watchtowers and whatnot, but I'm having a really hard time with dragons. Level 57 now and ancient dragons are terrifying!
I keep two swords on me for when straight up combat is unavoidable, i.e. random dragon fights. Five out of five on the Armsman perk, dual wield and dual savagery, pop a Fortify One Handed potion, Elemental Fury shout, and you will carve that shit up.
FREE Conjure bow spellbook: FT Amol west of Greybeards mountain(forgot the name). Kill a few rogue images its in a bucket UNDER a lantern(lift lantern out of bucket book under it). Perfect for this build!
I glitched my way upto 100 sneak by sneaking behind the greybeards and cutting them with a dagger, it's really good, it was on Xbox 360, so guys if you can't be bothered to get 100 sneak legit then just sneak behind the greybeards! I went from level 6 - 20 from doing it though, it made my guy un-even but it will be good in the long run
The silent roll is pretty important in my opinion. I was on this one quest when you had to sneak trough some place in Markarth, and I studied the guards routes and found out there where only a tiny window to slip trough. But whit the silent roll I just rolled past to the next pillar whitout a care in the world, and the cool thing is that rolling is just as good as standing still, as long as you don't roll infront of their line of sight. But you have to get this perk to get the best perks anyway.
@forshor1998 You cannot get daedric if you go up the left side. It is stupid but you can't go back down the smithing tree from dragon to daedric. Same thing as that you can't go from the right side up to dragon and then back down to glass.
Blade of woe (spoiler: obtained at the end of the dark brotherhood quest line) does more than 15, i have perks on my 1h so it does more but i think it does like 18 damage or something w/o, basically making it so you do even MOAR damage, atm mine's at 21 dmg, so 1 sneak atk is 630 damage - Insane. Also 100 sneak is broken... kill a guy - his friend across the table doesn't even detect you.
what enchantments to be put on the dragon scale armor? and what items to get the enchantments from. would be really cool if you reply as I couldn't find an answer on google.
Instead of the them boots in either theives guild ,Dark Brotherhood when in dark brotherhood you get to kill cercio and you can loot is corspe and he has gloves that have x2 Cause i made my 30.x damage
Hmm, no points into armor. Seems risky but interesting since smithing will make up for a good chunk of points in armor rating and you don't waste points in magic so just more points for health. And you still have to option to use the awesome Ebony Mail. Only down side is you miss the chance to buff the Chillrend which is glass. Top level Chillrend is suppose to be the strongest sword.
@TheCanadianKidEH There are no dragon weapons. If you go left, you spend 5 points. You can make Dragon Light Armor and Glass Wearpons. If you go right, you spend 6 points. You can make Dragon Light Armor and Deadric weapons. If you can hold off on making light armor till you get 100 smithing, the right route is far more rewarding in the end.
@Flatron565 Are you trying to ask how you should raise health and stamina? Personally, I would go 70/80% stamina and 30/20% health. As an assassin, you'll rarely fight anyone head on. When you find yourself fighting enemies such as bosses and dragons head on, it's easy to die so it helps to have something such as the Sanguine Rose to summon a nice tank. I focus on stamina for the carrying capacity.
If you want to be more cautious, I'd go 50-50, MAYBE even 40(stam)-60(health), but thats a strtch
great videos man they have all helped me a lot but could you possibly make a video on stormcloak or imperial? its one of them things i cant decide cheers ;)
If you train conjuration to 100 you can do a quest that allows you to make deadric stuff at the atronachs forge, a lot better to do this, because you don't need to put anything into smithing to do this :D
and can you please make a video for an enchantment Dagger and sword you would use ?!?! Like what to put on Burn target or Freeze or ..... ..... ..... ...... plsssss
the 5 points you can put into "stealth" in the sneak tree are bullcrap. I only have 2 with level 100 sneak skill and I can easily get past anything if I'm not outside in the middle of the day
Okay, so I think so far for my level 4 assassin, im on 1/5 overdraw (Archery) and 2/5 stealth.
Should I focus on sneak first then once full, move onto archery then onto others such as smithing etc or just level any of the main trees when I have perks available?
No, it'd be best to focus on your archery first. Mainly because of the dragons, whom you'll need to arch down. I'd say you to 3/2: 3 for archery and 2 for sneak. That keeps it nice and even.
@LilKISSman I have the same problem, I don't know when to put perks into Enchanting or Smithing because when I have a perk to spend I feel like they have to go into one of the main trees such as Archery/Sneak/One-Handed. So I can't see myself spending any perks in Smithing or Enchanting until I have maxed out all perks I need on those three trees...

And you still have to option to use the awesome Ebony Mail. Only down side is you miss the chance to buff the Chillrend which is glass. Top level Chillrend is suppose to be the strongest sword.

thanks i play as an assassin/theif and i usualy focus on pick pocket or archer but now i see the importance of sneak thanks :D
soldierboyz911 2 weeks ago
i go up the left side with smithing because it takes 5 points to get to daedric and on the right side it takes 5 points to get to dragon
TheCanadianKidEH 2 weeks ago
@TheCanadianKidEH There are no dragon weapons. If you go left, you spend 5 points. You can make Dragon Light Armor and Glass Wearpons. If you go right, you spend 6 points. You can make Dragon Light Armor and Deadric weapons. If you can hold off on making light armor till you get 100 smithing, the right route is far more rewarding in the end.
NoNameC68 2 weeks ago
@NoNameC68 you are correct, my mistake
TheCanadianKidEH 1 week ago
@TheCanadianKidEH but via the left side, you cant get daedric.... you cant go to daedric from dragon, and daedric have the best weapons, no doubt
candy123lover 2 weeks ago
@candy123lover i agree, i forgot that you couldnt get to the daedric from the left

stamina or health should i choose? to give a point?
Flatron565 2 weeks ago
@Flatron565 Are you trying to ask how you should raise health and stamina? Personally, I would go 70/80% stamina and 30/20% health. As an assassin, you'll rarely fight anyone head on. When you find yourself fighting enemies such as bosses and dragons head on, it's easy to die so it helps to have something such as the Sanguine Rose to summon a nice tank. I focus on stamina for the carrying capacity.
If you want to be more cautious, I'd go 50-50, MAYBE even 40(stam)-60(health), but thats a strtch
NoNameC68 2 weeks ago
@NoNameC68 thank you for long and nice answer;) i think i will go with stamina:)
Thanks again ;)

i think that instead of wearing dragon armor all the time you should wear it during combat cause nightingales/ancient shrouded is better sneak

If you train conjuration to 100 you can do a quest that allows you to make deadric stuff at the atronachs forge, a lot better to do this, because you don't need to put anything into smithing to do this :D
sammetju08 2 weeks ago
@sammetju08 But instead of putting it into smithing, you're now putting it into conjuration...
xJaYWaTx 2 weeks ago in playlist Skyrim Character Creation Guides
@xJaYWaTx No, to get a skill to 100 you don't need to invest skill points, when you use smithing you do in order to make it...

the 5 points you can put into "stealth" in the sneak tree are bullcrap.

LilKISSman 3 weeks ago
@LilKISSman
No, it'd be best to focus on your archery first. Mainly because of the dragons, whom you'll need to arch down. I'd say you to 3/2: 3 for archery and 2 for sneak. That keeps it nice and even.
PureBlackWolf 3 weeks ago
@LilKISSman I have the same problem, I don't know when to put perks into Enchanting or Smithing because when I have a perk to spend I feel like they have to go into one of the main trees such as Archery/Sneak/One-Handed. So I can't see myself spending any perks in Smithing or Enchanting until I have maxed out all perks I need on those three trees...
