As for the rest, it's all about sustainable and efficient (as well as HUMANE) farming since there's no way in hell everyone is gonna be vegan anytime soon. =/
@Schyntful I can not process meat, diary or eggs actually. I never could. I have about 6 friends who are vegan and gave birth to very healthy, huge babies, and they kept on being vegan while and after pregnancy. I am 37 and definitely not dude, ha ha : )
I do not care about other people, I know myself and my ways & always will be 100% plan based diet and lifestyle. I also do not buy animal tested products, chemicals & cosmetics made out of animal parts beside not wearing leather or fur.

May I remind you all that cats are animals... and so are pigs, sheep, cows and chickens. But millions of them are killed every day. Why be sympathetic for cats and not other animals? I love cats (I have 2), but I have the same respect for other animals, which is why I'm a vegetarian.
I wouldn't eat a cat but I feel the real issue is the treatment these animals receive before they're brutally slaughtered. - by breeding farm animals we are destroying space of wild animals, balance an not be restored - bad for planet
- instead of having clean water for people, animals drink it
- for 1 kg of meat 7 kg of grains is needed - not truly helping world hunger

Quite frankly I don't see any reason that each animal shouldn't be given equal rights. Honestly what makes a cat better than say a pig? Pigs are far smarter, and much more friendly animals, it's because of cultural preference. Personally I think that cats are useless, and I think this should be continued simply to reduce numbers of feral cats.

It's interesting how we can frown upon the treatment of cats and dogs in China and places like South Korea, but ignore our own hand in animal abuse.
