  • oh and how is this biased the siverado didn't use 4x4 either so it is perfecly fair

  • stephen4177 is a troll he has made stupid comments on every silverado vs tundra video on here

  • What 4wd buddy?

I didnt see z71 anywhere or 4wd on the yota

  • lets see the chevy in 15 years.......The tundra will still be going stong

  • this video is possibly rigged. did you notice the Tundra front end is not engaging?? the person who posted this probably intentionally did not engage the 4 wheel drive to disadvantage the Tundra. This video is lame. I recently looked at the new 2011 Siverado 2500HD and I have to say I wasn't impressed. However the new Ford SD F250 was very nice at the same price point. The new B20 engine was very impressive! I am currently a 5 year Tundra 5.7L owner and my Tundra has been a great truck. A set o

  • @ originevo8 where do you see 4wd working. I never saw the front wheels spin to pull it out of the ditch

  • And people that are screaming Chevys are the best are the ones that are too Damn proud to admit that a foriegn auto company is better then one that is in the good old usa. Don't get me wrong I'm southern all American but I can when there's a better made car.

  • I work at a company that was all fords then switched to chevys due to the powerstrokes problems ..and I have seen first hand how shitty the new chevys are built . Yeah the have a locking diff but what about all of the electrical problems in the chevys ( guages , power windows just to name a couple which are NOT covered by warranty and if I recall to fix the dash is $700+ and the power windows $500 ...pretty expensive. I personally drive a tundra with no problems

  • Clearly this is bs, dude did not engage the 4wd system. See how the chevy's 4wd system helps the front end get out of that ditch. What biased video. I still pick the tundra any day price and reliability!

  • Stephen4177 a Toyota going past 350000 miles? Ah yes the ones that didn't crash due to a defective accelerator peddle that wasn't recalled until lives where lost.

  • karp1941 consumer reports? Really? If you would like to got to that motor trend made the f-150 pick up of the year for 2012 and consumer reports made the chevy avalanche the top pick when it came to trucks. The reliability of these trucks will always pass tundra. Toyota should stick to smart cars and even the American car company's are catching up to them quickly with that

  • japanese cars are a big shit

    and CHEVY IS THE BEST

  • Silverado ALL THE WAY! Easy cheezy, japaneezy

  • 350,000 full of shit besides toyota does that all the time .a ford hits 300,k its wow a toyota hits 300k ok what did I expect ford canadian made crap

  • well id hate to defend the tundra but in the last test with the flexing it would have made it up the ramp when the camera moved in closer it was going up the ramp then it just stopped and rolled back even the tire that was off the ground just stopped moving. but anyway a locker would be the best thing for only one tire traction no matter what but a limited slip does exactly what it says it does it "limits tire slip"

  • I meant 350000 miles that was a typo.

  • Oneandonlyjat if u happen to be talking to me I own a 2010 f-150 king ranch. Which is much more superior to the gay tundra. Also it hasn't had one problem not even my 99 f150 with 35000 miles. Oil change and brakes when needed and that's it.

  • NO TOP COMMENT MY TIME TO SHINE

  • cant afford a tundra dont talk shit what u drive hyundai

  • The fact is tundra is ugly as hell and it's a Toyota I dot want to be working on it every other week. My neighbor own a 2010 tundra and he need to replace his tranny due to unknown reasons. Toyota is junk.

  • @e30pimp222 no other full size truck makes it on the consumer reports best of the best list , just the TUNDRA !!!!

  • @Theuncc23 I know the concept I'm not saying locker isn't better it is. im saying this video is bias b.s look up on youtube extreme traction control .toyota and ford r the only two that did great in this test gm failed bad needed 4wd to do it.its an outside company not gm I think its pickup trucks .com tested all 1500's take a peek

  • @stephen4177 come on man now i know you are a troll i saw you on all of the silverado vs tundra videos making stupid ass comments now i am calling your trolling ass out you need to stop making comments with out doing research first so you can get your facts strait you should have learned at least a little bit from watching all these silverado's wooping up on toyota's you havent learned any thing have you

  • 226,000 I call bullshit on that maybe the 3rd tranny 2nd motor

  • My silverado 5.3 lt z71 has 226,000 miles, bone stock all original motor and trans. No head gaskets or anything. Toyota just needs a better diff

  • easy to see the chevy went in with more momentum. I own both a 2004 chevy 1500 and a 2002 toyota tundra and the toyota will walk circles around the chevy. And it will give me about 300K engine life as the sorry 5.3 head will crack and blow the motor by 150K. Not to mention the 02 tundra has about a $4000 more value over the the chevy and the fact that the toyat is now more manufactred in the US than the chevy!!! Chevy killed it when they went away from the 5.7 350. Best they ever built.

  • It doesnt matter what brand or truck you have, if you have a rear locker it will do what the chevy did. if you put the same locker on every brand of trucks they would all do the same thing.

  • @Rossum3451 what makes the chevy american, less than half the chevy is american its sad aint it ?a toyota is the most american made truck

  • I don't know WTF got me in here but I have to say that this is not a fair comparison.

  • Chuck Norris was driving the Silverado and the Tundra took an arrow to the knee...

  • that test was done in 4x2?

  • @tec41 I know can't win them all kinda like having a low IQ to b fooled by such a simple ruse . Please look on at more bias scenarios about chevy , a company based on lies can win a fake test.. U know its american, longest lasting, like a rock,#1 u keep on keeping on when u get stuck or break down call me ill pull u out lol happy new yr

Ps good luck even u trade it in with 65k for a nickel

  • Both tires on tundra r spinning and its not going anywhere y, chevy didnt spin at all ? ,ok chevy is in 4wd or the tires on tundra r shot .its a chevy video who did u think would win dont look to far into it

  • @stephen4177 They put them in the EXACT same scenarios, the whole point is to show the difference. Sorry you own a Toyota and are a little butt hurt, but you can't win them all.

  • @stephen4177 the thing is with the limited slip, the torque is not going equally on both tires. with limited slip, the torque is goin on the wheel with less traction because its easier to spin. the thing with the locking differential is that it locks the torque so that the wheels go in unison instead of fidgeting back and forth from wheel to wheel. and ill also have to agree with you that the tires on the toyota looked a bit shot.

  • eeehhhh they got a 4x4 xhecy n a 2 wheel drive tundra, not a good match up n iv seen the tundra in action myself n the offroad tundra wouldv gone through the ditch

  • @skWOODxMAN69sk they were both 4x4

  • good ole detroit lockers!!

  • @45crcasey its not a detroit. It's a Eaton G80 locker

  • bull shit..

  • @1994naser - How is it bullshit? Because Chevrolet knows how to manufacture vehicles for the best safety and traction in the winter and Toyota doesn't?

  • @1994naser dont worry about beasty comments he is sad : /

  • TUNDRA AFTER 100K 1 POINT - SILVERADO AFTER 100K 0 POINTS

TUNDRA RESALE 1 POINT - SILVERADO RESALE 0 POINTS

I FEEL BAD FOR CHEVY OWNERS, ALL MY FRIENDS HAVE THEM AND THEY GET SMOKED EVERY TIME : / TOO BAD!!!

  • @maxwellxmurder - I feel sorry for the dumbasses who don't know how to turn the Caps Lock off.

  • @BeastyCoyneDog you going to cry fag? i put it in caps like that to get a reaction from a douche like yourself haha

  • @maxwellxmurder - Does it look like I'm going to cry? I'm just proving that you obviously have vision problems if you have to type with the caps lock on. And I also have to prove you wrong. I know people who have easily passed 250k miles in their Chevrolet with absolutely no problems, and their resale value is still there. I'm sorry you have to stoop to the imported shit because you're to embarrassed to drive the heartbeat of America!

  • american trucks all day

  • @CHEVYSILVERADO71 they are both American. Congrats, your stupid

  • to all you tundra owners if you dont belive this video go to compare trucks .com and see what a pice of crap that tundra really is

  • Chevy is an ASS Eric!!!!!!!!

  • The reson people buy a Tundra is because they cant afford a cummins, duramax, or powerstroke.

  • @aaronkramertv you must be buttfuck stupid because a tundra is almost 10k more then a silverado...

  • @MrAndrewDuong love that one..

  • buddy you better believe my tundra wouldnt do that... i bet they left the traction control on as well

  • Chevy has its own slu of problems just like tundra difference is tundra holds its value

  • Wow letss compare a LOCKER too a LIMITED Slip and expect any other outcome. Apples Oranges guys.

  • pfhhttt id rather buy a RELIABLE "jap truck" than an american hunk of junk thats gonna CONSTANTLY have problems... no offense to any american, but the truth is i own an american truck (not gonna say the name, cause that will spark another pointless debate), but its a piece of shit

  • My personal opinion that was a sloppy Chevrolet commercial, your truck don't worth-it for shit. And Chevrolet never retain their VALUE that hurt you right.

  • @TheBarahona1 - Good grammar, I bet you got an A in English in high school. I could buy and restore a Chevrolet from the 50's and it would hold its value for three times as long as your piece of shit import would!

  • lol 1 wheelspin on the chevy @ 1:41 downhill. Can tell it's in 2WD but Tundra's A-LSD does at least that. Looks to me Chevy and Toyota both did the brake on flooding wheel electronic slip deferential just the same. cept.... Chevy made this commercial.

  • Comment removed

  • Stupid and tendencious test. If you want to put your Tundra off-road, buy an 4x4. But when you shitty chevy slip and send you direct to death, remember of this nonsensical video.

  • and when they drive over the rails lolare u serious they gun the tundra the whole time and on the chevy they gun it for a second then slow down, who the fuck drives over rolling rails anyway wtf... this video is def put out from chevy if u go to any indapedent test comparison the tundra wins everytime That is a fact

  • and it def isnt in 4x4 the front wheel isnt turning

  • @Ryanb1105 neither were in 4x4. That's the whole point.

  • this video is rigged watch closely when they drive the tundra in the ditch they turn the steering wheel right then when they drive the chevy threw they leave the steering wheel straight...

  • >Buy drag radials for the back

    >Stay on road

    >Try to use up the available traction

    >nope

  • Its total night and day with the full locker and the limited slip. And when Eaton does their tests they run stock or OEM equivalent tires.

  • THAT i call cheat! Clumsy driver why dont turn on the 4 x 4 !!!

  • FUCK THAT SHIT TUNDRA IS THE BEST AND FUCK THE SILVERADO ITS NOT LIKE IF WERE GONNA DO THAT SHIT SO FUCK THE SILVERADO AND ILL RATHER CHOOSE THE TOYOTA TUNDRA

1PLACE RAM-2PLACE TUNDRA- 3PLACE FORD AND 4TH SILVERADO AND FUCK THE NISSAN THAT SHIT DOESNT EVEN MAKE IT IN DA CHART

  • @BROWNBYHONOR13 fuckin spook

  • Hello ... i thinking that y guys forgot to put the 4x4 in the toyota tundra.... that is obo

  • Toyota is a joke! Even though its a 4x4 it doesnt go through that little ditch.... the chevy is a 4x2 ain't it?

  • @derunsterblichearsch Yo fool 4x4 is the same as a 2wd if the 4x4 isn't engaged the test is between the Diff's in the back. And pay attention that Chevy is a 4x4, at least that's what the sticker clearly says at 1:32. Learn your shit and pay attention before you make comments

  • @Codak13 Ey man sorry! im not a specialist in trucks. We dont have those pieces of crap over here in Germany . I know more 'bout German cars aight?!

  • @derunsterblichearsch its not in 4wd dipshit

  • Put a locker on the Toyota! It'll still get it's butt kicked by the almighty Chevy, but it really should be a crime to not have a locker on all cars!

  • tundra is in 2wd, u can tell by the front wheels not spinning, fucken rip off chevys

  • Any body know what the most reliable truck for 2011 is?

  • haha noobs i take tundra any day over shity ass silverado and yes i got one of them silverados nothing but problems us cars = crap only good for 36k mils after that its will crap on u

  • @grego10r fucking jap crap, get a real truck, (ford, dodge, chevy)

  • @rockstardrinker95 tundras are made in the u.s. ... but i agree! the big 3!

  • Why would you drive though/over that stuff in 2wd anyway?

  • Toyota = sissy truck

  • @chapman5320 not very true pal! If your grandfather was a researcher in that category of vehicle makes Toyotas are made in U.S.A but parts are from Japan. Chevy is made in U.S.A and 93.2% of parts are made in U.S.A also.

  • The Toyota must have a crappy LSD, since my '96 Jeep XJ would have aced all those test with a factory LSD.

  • is it me or does it look like the tundra is in 2wd while the chevy is in 4wd?

  • Silverado has the AWD always on. AWD is what I like my wife to drive. Good girls option.

  • @ShawnTRD the silverado is not awd tard....

  • 140 people are Tundra owners

  • @stephen4177. Uhm the tundra is a 4wd same as the Silverado. Toyota puts their 4x4 badge on the tail gate same as dodge does. Chevy and ford have theirs on the quarter panels. You can see the 4x4 badge on the tundra at 2:29.

  • Looked like an open diff on the tundra

  • 2wd tundra vs 4wd Chevy what did u expect

  • For the people who think the Silverado is in 4wd, your wrong. Its in 2wd, if your wondering how the Silverado made it through the ditch with no problem, its because it has auto locking rear differintials. The tundra had an open differintial wich is why it strugled to gain traction going over the ditch.

  • I like it, it isnt a stupid electronic option where everything can go wrong and you have to "turn it on". Its fair priced and gets the job done nicer, and with the longer wider wheelbase it pulls better too.. Dont get me wrong the tundra isnt a bad truck , but chevy still runs the truck game..

  • Chevrolet is the best truck :)

  • They buy Chevy thinking they have an American product but the the over priced unreliable. Truck u drive smells like a taco and is a drain on our economy and should have went under cause there. Product is shit

  • Turn on A-TRAC. Chevy doesn't have that and you'll be out just fine. Hell even my 2WD tacoma would make that just with a locked rear diff.

  • tundras are ok but i would rather buy a chevy

  • @2009Devilrays

I'm a Ford guy, and I'd sooner take a Silverado over a Tundra.

  • Comment removed

  • HaHaHa. Now put the Tundra in 4 wheel drive!! This yahoo doesn't know how to drive.

  • HaHaHa. Now put the Tundra in 4 wheel drive!!

  • oh no chevy is n 4wd...

  • Big deal automatic locker. The Tundra has a locker button. I would rather control when it goes on and off.

  • Tundras dont have lsd's.. Its open diff with ebc..

  • Cause people need a truck that runs any still goes in gear

  • @stephen4177 thats why people buy chevys

  • why does toyota even make trucks?

  • That gmc was in 4 wheel drive

  • This is more or less comparing a locking diff to a non locking diff. I have a new silverado and i love it but the tundra is a nasty truck. If the tundra had a locking diff itd do the same thing.

  • I hate GM but i would take a silverado over a tundra any day. btw my land rover would walk through that ditch no problem.

  • i bet they pulled that tundra out of the ditch with that chevy lol

  • I call b.s. I looks like the chevys sway bars were disconected, I will put a stock chevy against my stock tundra anyday. Been to the trails of Teirra del soland Moab in my Toyota. To add to it Mine will never break!

  • its not the same place the two cars go through, look at the snow

  • @carsonkho If you would actually pay attention, the last ditch the silverado goes through was the same as the toyota, the silverado went through 3 ditches, no problem. Toyota couldnt get through one

  • @carsonkho yea it is look in the back ground at 0:37 and 1:52 its the same truck parked in the same spot so yeah....

  • @freakforblessthefall if you look real close , you will see another truck loaded with us taxpayer dollars , just waiting to bail-out GM again !!!

  • haha sorry but 3:15 is pretty sad...

  • bottom line if you want a truck its chevy. If you like toyota go get a pruis.

  • @mrvntroy If you want an american truck dont buy chevy =P Buy Toyota. If you want more power buy Toyota. If you want a better resale buy Toyota, if you want better MPG buy Toyota, If you want better towing on comparable models buy Toyota, need i go on?

  • I say the Tundra was in 2-wheel drive and the Silverado was in 4-wheel drive. Unfair fight

  • @garrattm yea i was gonna say the same thing. my dad's tundra would crush that silverado. litterally. its lifted and it has really big tires.

  • Silverado 4x4 and traction is not the tundra!

  • i love how the chevy uses locking diffs and the tunrda doesnt... unfair fight and the tundra still did the job.

  • @StepUrRepertoireUp

That was the whole point of Eaton's video. And still did the job? Yeah, of keeping tow truck companies in business. I don't see how you can make a vehicle and not have a locking diff on the back and call it a truck.

  • @RovingLandRover Theyre pretty proud of the fact I dont ride round in a fn queer cruiser listening to queen talkin chit bout american trks. Ur too far gone for me to waste anymore of my time replying...

  • no both were in 4 wheel u can tell

  • that fuckking chevy was in 4 wheel and the tundra was in 2 wheel, pretty bad when pussy ass chevy has to lie and do shitty ass tests

  • @allout284 too bad thats not what the video is about. read the description.

  • @allout284 ur fucking idiot they were both in four wheel toyota doesnt have the technology in there trucks like chevy does face the fact chevy is way better than toyota. Toyota should just stick to making cars

  • @MasseyFerguson5400 hello, if you look @ the test in the ditch it was unfair, they did not drive the chevy through the same place the toyota went , look @ the rut it went into , and look under the toyotas rear bumper there is a small pile of snow , look at the back of the chevy no snow, and no rut ,not the same spot .

  • Comment removed

  • @RovingLandRover Sorry I misread your comment, Jeeps are better than trucks it doesn't matter if they are American made or foreign

  • @RovingLandRover Then why have I seen countless videos where jeeps pull land rovers out of rivers because they are stuck?

  • @RovingLandRover ok ass clown. 1st of all my chits mint and ur pos fag cruiser couldnt pull a sic whore outa bed. Toyota cant even drag their own race trailers... They use real AMERICAN trks for that. Ur a fuckin joke pal

  • it dosent help the tundra was in 2wd and the chevy was in 4wd

  • I think the only reason the Tundra doesn't make it is the amount of ground clearance between the front of the truck and the ground, not the difference in the rear end. If it were a little higher, it probably would have. But of course, since I drive a Silverado, Long live the bow tie!

  • i@factorycut i have armor all on my silverado so that makes the truck sissy it look nice and its easier to clean with it on

  • American trks built this country! Losers with fat wifes buy toyotas and ride round in their sissy trks with armor all on the tires and add on chrome crap from jc whittney. True Story!

  • Now lets do a truck pull and a 1/4 mile run...and lets see who will win....and what's the point of getting a 4 wheel drive if your not gonna use it in this situation... this is a stupid video...find something in life better to do...oh i forgot u ain't got one.... just like u wish u had a tundra thats why u try to bag one....

  • wow cheap ass way to make other trucks look bad... at least put the chevy in 2wd LIKE the tundra

  • @NorthAmericanArcher

    It was in 2WD...

  • Toyota guys- Umm both trucks are in 2WD at all times. It is just that the Silverado has the LOCKING diff and all yours does is limit slip. Not the same...Thats why I welded the diff on my 4runner haha. But my chev has the G80 and I love it. Good vid.

  • @proslayer101 What year is your 4runner cuz mine is a 96 and has a locking diff.

  • I think that eaton g80 locker should be mentioned in the video somewhere. The lack of information is misleading to viewers. Maybe I just missed it. The eaton g80 locker and a limited slip are two completely different types of drive system. Is this an apple to apples comparison?

  • do the same test with a tacoma TRD off road.

  • @cry me a fucking river...toyota blows...cheap ass jap trucks

  • @DylonTheGreat521 Oh thats right! Cuz everywhere in the world where the land is hostile and rough and need reliable vehicles they all drive silverados and tahoes!!! Oh wait...nope...thats toyota. sorry mate.

  • @87BMWstroker blah blah blah...irrelevant..

  • biggest joke of a staged control tests i have ever seen clearly the tundra is a better truck

  • If only the Tundra had its 4x4 engaged. It is clearly in 2wd.

Lets do a test where BOTH trucks are in 4x4.

  • @facultybookbuyer Hey, this is a test of the eaton g80 locker in the rear end of the silverado both trucks are in 2wd. its just that the silverado has a locker and the tundra has a limited slip

  • GOOD GOD THE TUNDRA HAS 4wd FOR A REASON FUCK!!

  • this should be 4x4 truck using 2wd and a 4x4 truck using 4wd. how about using bald tires, at least you can see the front wheels spinning.

  • It looks to me like the Tundra was put through a more slippery spot at the start.

  • I wonder if the Tundra had the A-LSD button on. I own a new Tundra and it would be pretty helpless in that situation if it wasnt on...

  • im a gm guy all the way but was the tundra in 2wd

  • @guero3p yes they both were.

  • its staged. thats the end of it. They purposely drive the toyota so that it will have a hard time, the first time the GM goes through its not even the same place.

  • @CRF80TOP55

It's called the freedom to buy what you want.

  • pick up speed. traction problem solved...

  • street tires and 18's = no good for off-road, that was a big difference in the video. and at 1:40 that is what chevy's traction control does, i own a z71 and the traction control botton makes it where if one tire starts spinnning the limited slip changes to where the other turns instead of the spinning tire. but neither of these trucks could keep up with my Jeep

  • TUNDRA ALMOST MADE IT AT HORRID ANGLE AND 4WD NOT ENGAGED!!!

    TOmoCO POWER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Really the Tundra is 4x4? If so obviously it is in 2x4 mode. How blind and ignorant do you have to be to see the video is one sided.

  • the testers were clearly bias towards chevy... even if they weren't all this really shows is that the tundra is handicapped by an open diff. off road.

  • Looks like two different approach angles and the ditch didn't look the same if your going to test something do it equally to see the differences who ever did this testing was biased towards the chevy.

  • @baggedtacoma1996 For the first test, I completely agree. But... did you finish the video? The other tests were pretty unbiased.

  • @baggedtacoma1996 but it still dominated it every single other test.

  • Chevy is so much better. I have an 01 with 190,000 miles I still would choose it over a brand new toyota any day. And for ya idiots they were both in two wheel drive. Chevy just thought LSD is worse than a locking rear end. That's what u get with the chinks. A piece of crap! CHEVY ALL THE WAY!!

  • The Tundra is a two wheel drive and the limited slip did work. The Chevrolet is 4wd. Watch the front wheels. Misleading marketing is not right.

  • @Hjiatl look in the tailgate! toyota is 4x4 too!

  • @Hjiatl hey dip shit the chevy at 1:40 if it was in 4wd the back wheels wouldnt be spinning like they were make sure u know what the fuck you are talking about
