I was just transported back to Feb. 18, to Jackie's first full length concert. It is so amazing to see how far she has progressed, and I am thrilled to have sat just a few feet away from her during this performance, and to have met her after the concert. Thank you so very much for posting this for the world to appreciate. Thank you also for including the video of her signing my CD cover of her very first CD, Prelude to a Dream. It is a dream that continues to grow, and the sky's the limit.
I believe that this beautiful child will be bigger in popularity, talent, following, etc. than anything we have ever seen or will ever see. Already, at this very young age, she has surpassed them all. All of the soprano's, of any age, I have ever heard or seen cannot compare to what comes from this child without effort. I see her music transcending boundries, not only of preferred genre. but also age, language, and nationality. She has a lesson to teach the world......we should listen.
Whenever and wherever I see her perform, with Stephen Foster, in Britain, AGT or anywhere, I just marvel at the power that comes from a little girl. Knowing the discipline it takes to do even a few days of voice training with a definite purpose. This to me is the gift of the Lord; to bring something great and marvelous out of the heart of someone you would never expect. I can't say it's unbelievable but... you know, it does take stretching yourself to get there. Even just to listen.
Perhaps, the reason that Jackie, appeals to most of us, is because, she sings and performs for all of the RIGHT reasons and not the current fabs that we see, all of the time. She's happy to be with us, as we are enjoying her.

I was a medic in the Navy for 20 years, spending most of my time with the Marines. I am also a retired firefighter. I have seen things, done things, and dealth with things that many people might think make me a pretty tough skinned guy. Every time this child opens her mouth, my eyes immediately tear up. She transcends religoins. Whatever higher power you belive in, you have to believe that power placed this young lady on earth to reminds us all that pureness does exist in the world. Amen.

What I also find amazing is that others (the professionals) can really see the beauty of her voice and her abilities. I think what Barbra Streisand said about her abilities is wonderful. And, at the Hit Man Returns and Friends, that the other performers stood in the "wings" and listened to her. If she gives you goose bumps while listening to her at your computer, how much lovelier could that angelic voice be in person? Oh, to have been one of you who actually saw this child in concert!!!
I discovered Jackie Evancho at the PBS performance. Then, I came to YouTube to discover this treasure of videos of this brilliant young artist! To say her voice is angelic is an understatement. The purety of her voice and her maturity at 11 years old is amazing. I wish her much happiness with her singing. I think that it is wonderful that she gives thanks to God for her voice and her incredible talent. I'm like everyone else, I'm enthralled with the beauty of her voice! It's unbelievable!

The acoustics in this church showcase Jackie's voice so wonderfully. Each heavenly reverberation sends a flood of joy through the soul. It must have been fabulous for those who were there to hear her in person.
Sometimes it feels like when things look glum . . our country is in a financial mess . . and it seems like the money goes to the millionaires, actors and sports figures instead of our teachers, child care workers and our rest homes for folks who have spent their lives fighting for the freedom most of us take for granted. Children are gifts from God and this child seems angelic to me. She seems humble and grateful for the gift to her from God. All we can do is thank Him for her.

I've had the pleasure to sit (and stand applausing wildly) during this concert. Later, I met Jackie and gave her a little hug. Forever, that moment wil be cherished.
Remember, this 11-year-old, has mastered '" Nessun Dorma " in under a year !!! The hand of God is a work, for our benefit and enjoyment. She handles this performance like its no big deal !!! Yet .. the masters of opera, can count a few GROWN women who can do the same !!!

Absolutely the best. I'm speechless. My sincere appreciation to those involved in preserving this incredible performance. At 49 I've shed a tear two times. The first was at my dear grandmother's passing. This is the second time but these were tears that filled a jaded heart with humanity. If we are capable of capturing the elements that created Jackie, there is hope for us all.
I am a 47 year old man from England (who only stumbled across Jackie on YouTube) and I don't particularly like opera.
Every time I hear her I blubber like a 5 year old - she sings beautifully, anyone who is not tone deaf can hear it. Her voice is beautiful, without compare, and she makes me feel so happy.
I am not an overly religious man but I thank the Lord that she has appeared as a shining star from the darkness that is in the world today.

@prometheus0814 AGT always add tons of compression, EQ, reverb and autotune, plus massed choirs of backing singers and synth pads. It's like slapping a thick layer of varnish over everything - sure you can't tell how bad the crap stuff is, but you can't really tell how good the good stuff is either. The audio ain't perfect here, but you can actually hear *HER*, not the producer.
@ratelect Actually, "auto tune", and any of its associated software, is prohibited on national talent contests for the simple reason that the judges and the audiences would not be hearing the singer's true vocal tones, and thereby the use of what natural talent that they may possess. It is considered just as taboo as "lip synching" during those types of shows. Good day to you.

I only heard about this little angel today from somebody at work. I could not believe it when I listened to the clips here. What an incredible voice! Just compare her to the likes of Charlotte Church, Hayley Westenra, etc. At her age they had lovely voices, but they were little girls voices, they did not have the maturity and depth of voice that this lovely little lady has. I am going to buy her album tomorrow and I fully expect to listen to it over and over many times.Wonderful.......

I'm so happy to have found this complete video of the Houston Concert and thank papasmurfdad for getting it posted. I believe this to probably be one of the most important opening concerts for any singer in the past half century. Her performance was like a rookie pitcher throwing a no-hitter against the Yankees, it just doesn't happen. I don't see how Jackie is going to maintain the level she set for herself here. Choice of music, impeccable. Was this her first major length solo concert?
I can already see someone making a Musical Doll out of Jackie from this concert. With the doll imitating Jackie's shy little girl's movements as it rotates and with the music of "Think of Me". I would buy some from Jackie's website if they make some.
How in the world can she remember the words and music to complicated songs when she has to sing one after the other, and not make a noticeable mistake? And then, the emotion she displays in singing these songs, is just amazing for a ten year old, let alone an adult. I just shake my head in wonder, and grateful to see and hear this once in a lifetime experiance. I can't imagine what her parents must be feeling in what they have created for the world to enjoy.
I knew 2 1/2 years ago when I discovered her on youtube that she was the best I'd ever heard but I had NO idea just HOW good she was! In addition to having perfect pitch, a perfect voice, incredible emotion and not making a mistake, she apparently has never had any apparent stage fright either! (At least not that I can see or hear).

I think it is easy to overlook because Jackie makes it look so simple -- but what she is doing would be challenging even to a very seasoned performer. Yet, I have rarely heard Jackie make a mistake. All I've ever heard is pure beauty. But even more, after listening to Jackie sing, so many go away supremely and eternally touched.
It's not just that she's so incredibly young, it is a marvel that ANY human can sing this beautifully.
@rsaba206 It is practice and devotion to her gift which also her to be so well voiced. Voice coaches and her parents' unending love support allows her a freedom to express her soul in song. My prayer for her is that she will be able to grow into a young woman without all the "glitz, glamor and bling" that follows entertainers.

She is Mozart, Einstein of singing. Even more- somehow she transcends the pure human qualities and becomes the goddess, the Aphrodite ,the 5th element.

Indeed, an standing ovation each time. An bit of delay and banter between songs, just enough to catch her breath, but mostly just one after another. Meet and Greet was an additional charge, and outside of my modest budget. I just feel fortunate I could scrape together the money for the ticket. If you have the oportunity, you simply must see her live, it is the experiance of an lifetime. Jackie is performing at about half an dozen venues this August, check her website.

Every time Jackie sings Nessun Dorma she brings tears to my eyes & i listen or watch it often. It is my favourite piece. Has any one wondered how she can hold the last note in her opening song on her CD. I don't, such a small person with small lungs or are they. She is fantastic.

I was just transported back to Feb. 18, to Jackie's first full length concert. It is so amazing to see how far she has progressed, and I am thrilled to have sat just a few feet away from her during this performance, and to have met her after the concert. Thank you so very much for posting this for the world to appreciate. Thank you also for including the video of her signing my CD cover of her very first CD, Prelude to a Dream. It is a dream that continues to grow, and the sky's the limit.

I believe that this beautiful child will be bigger in popularity, talent, following, etc. than anything we have ever seen or will ever see. Already, at this very young age, she has surpassed them all. All of the soprano's, of any age, I have ever heard or seen cannot compare to what comes from this child without effort. I see her music transcending boundries, not only of preferred genre. but also age, language, and nationality. She has a lesson to teach the world......we should listen.

Whenever and wherever I see her perform, with Stephen Foster, in Britain, AGT or anywhere, I just marvel at the power that comes from a little girl. Knowing the discipline it takes to do even a few days of voice training with a definite purpose. This to me is the gift of the Lord; to bring something great and marvelous out of the heart of someone you would never expect. I can't say it's unbelievable but... you know, it does take stretching yourself to get there. Even just to listen.

What I also find amazing is that others (the professionals) can really see the beauty of her voice and her abilities. I think what Barbra Streisand said about her abilities is wonderful. And, at the Hit Man Returns and Friends, that the other performers stood in the "wings" and listened to her. If she gives you goose bumps while listening to her at your computer, how much lovelier could that angelic voice be in person? Oh, to have been one of you who actually saw this child in concert!!!

I discovered Jackie Evancho at the PBS performance. Then, I came to YouTube to discover this treasure of videos of this brilliant young artist! To say her voice is angelic is an understatement. The purety of her voice and her maturity at 11 years old is amazing. I wish her much happiness with her singing. I think that it is wonderful that she gives thanks to God for her voice and her incredible talent. I'm like everyone else, I'm enthralled with the beauty of her voice! It's unbelievable!

Sometimes it feels like when things look glum . . our country is in a financial mess . . and it seems like the money goes to the millionaires, actors and sports figures instead of our teachers, child care workers and our rest homes for folks who have spent their lives fighting for the freedom most of us take for granted. The first was at my dear grandmother's passing. This is the second time but these were tears that filled a jaded heart with humanity. I am a 47 year old man from England (who only stumbled across Jackie on YouTube) and I don't particularly like opera.
Every time I hear her I blubber like a 5 year old - she sings beautifully, anyone who is not tone deaf can hear it. Her voice is beautiful, without compare, and she makes me feel so happy.
I am not an overly religious man but I thank the Lord that she has appeared as a shining star from the darkness that is in the world today.

Oh WOW!! I haven't heard her sing Nessun Dorma before. My heart just turned into a quivering mass of jelly and I had an almost irresistible urge to scream like a 13-year-old girl in the front row of a Beatles concert!

Much better than the AGT vids. None of the crappy FX that AGT always use, so we can actually hear how good she is!

@ratelect What are you talking about with the FX? The audio is crap here with the reverberation off the church walls. No, you cannot how good she is with this.

@prometheus0814 AGT always add tons of compression, EQ, reverb and autotune, plus massed choirs of backing singers and synth pads. It's like slapping a thick layer of varnish over everything - sure you can't tell how bad the crap stuff is, but you can't really tell how good the good stuff is either. The audio ain't perfect here, but you can actually hear *HER*, not the producer.

@ratelect Actually, "auto tune", and any of its associated software, is prohibited on national talent contests for the simple reason that the judges and the audiences would not be hearing the singer's true vocal tones, and thereby the use of what natural talent that they may possess. It is considered just as taboo as "lip synching" during those types of shows. Good day to you.

@ratelect That is just totally silly! How could a talent contest with a prize allow anything like you say? It would make absolutely no sense and they would lose sponsors. Besides who would even watch something that is completely rigged? So use your head my friend.

I only heard about this little angel today from somebody at work. I could not believe it when I listened to the clips here. What an incredible voice! Just compare her to the likes of Charlotte Church, Hayley Westenra, etc. At her age they had lovely voices, but they were little girls voices, they did not have the maturity and depth of voice that this lovely little lady has. I am going to buy her album tomorrow and I fully expect to listen to it over and over many times.Wonderful.......

I believe Jackie Evancho has a Beautiful voice because she worked very hard to gain it, Not because God blessed it upon Her. Jakie Evacho should be the one taking credit Here not God. If anyone else deserves credit it is her parents, For crafting her into such an intelligent and well mannered girl. Peace Brothers : )

@papasmurfdad David Foster said in the 45 years that he has been doing music, he has never seen anyone like her, and he has heard them all. I have to agree, she has the most beautiful voice of any female singer I have ever heard! Truly the voice of an "ANGEL"! I can't wait for Jackie's PBS TV special in June. Thank you for this wonderful video.

I'm so happy to have found this complete video of the Houston Concert and thank papasmurfdad for getting it posted. I believe this to probably be one of the most important opening concerts for any singer in the past half century. Her performance was like a rookie pitcher throwing a no-hitter against the Yankees, it just doesn't happen. I don't see how Jackie is going to maintain the level she set for herself here. Choice of music, impeccable. Was this her first major length solo concert?

I can already see someone making a Musical Doll out of Jackie from this concert. With the doll imitating Jackie's shy little girl's movements as it rotates and with the music of "Think of Me". I would buy some from Jackie's website if they make some.

How in the world can she remember the words and music to complicated songs when she has to sing one after the other, and not make a noticeable mistake? And then, the emotion she displays in singing these songs, is just amazing for a ten year old, let alone an adult. I just shake my head in wonder, and grateful to see and hear this once in a lifetime experiance. I can't imagine what her parents must be feeling in what they have created for the world to enjoy.

I knew 2 1/2 years ago when I discovered her on youtube that she was the best I'd ever heard but I had NO idea just HOW good she was! In addition to having perfect pitch, a perfect voice, incredible emotion and not making a mistake, she apparently has never had any apparent stage fright either! (At least not that I can see or hear).

@rsaba206 Yes, it is a question I've asked myself often. I think it is easy to overlook because Jackie makes it look so simple -- but what she is doing would be challenging even to a very seasoned performer. Yet, I have rarely heard Jackie make a mistake. All I've ever heard is pure beauty. But even more, after listening to Jackie sing, so many go away supremely and eternally touched.
It's not just that she's so incredibly young, it is a marvel that ANY human can sing this beautifully.

@rsaba206 It is practice and devotion to her gift which also her to be so well voiced. Voice coaches and her parents' unending love support allows her a freedom to express her soul in song. My prayer for her is that she will be able to grow into a young woman without all the "glitz, glamor and bling" that follows entertainers.

@rsaba206 i think you meant to say its amazing for an adult, let alone a 10 yr old ....Her parents are very cool, they give her alot of space and never grab the spotlight from jackie, they give her a more than respectable space to do her thing, and also handle herself for interviews and such..Jackie does it w/ grace as she is very mature beyond her yrs..

Seeing her perform all these diverse songs together in a concert brings about a realization how truly magnificent, special and unique artist she is!!
She is Mozart, Einstein of singing. Even more- somehow she transcends the pure human qualities and becomes the goddess, the Aphrodite ,the 5th element.
She makes the world a better place by her singing and simply by her presence.

Indeed, an standing ovation each time. An bit of delay and banter between songs, just enough to catch her breath, but mostly just one after another. Meet and Greet was an additional charge, and outside of my modest budget. I just feel fortunate I could scrape together the money for the ticket. If you have the oportunity, you simply must see her live, it is the experiance of an lifetime. Jackie is performing at about half an dozen venues this August, check her website.

Thank you papasmurfdad for this wonderful video creation showcasing the magic of Jackie's other-worldly voice from her Houston appearance. I hope you realize what you have given us through your mastery of technology. Jackie has been a religious experience for me and to see and hear this concert in its entirety and as often as I like is so special. It's remarkable and I can't thank you enough!

What a splendid achievement creating this video "papa". You rock ! I would imagine that this most fortunate audience will never forget this concert. I have played it five times now and it still feels fresh to me each time. How fortunate we are being able to watch it thru this amazing technology. Oh Jackie !! :-)
