Why doesn't Richard Dawkins ever talk against horror movies? The world is feeding horror films to kids, filling their heads with violence without any redeeming qualities. It's OK when we are entertained by it but not when it ment to teach.
It's a bit of a false analogy to say that this Hell house is completely analogous to a horror movie. You see those who believe in the fiery version hell sometimes (perhaps often) teach their children that if they sin and don't accept Jesus as their lord and savior they will go to hell. However, we don't teach our children that vampires will eat them if they lie. To answer your question,I think Richard Dawkins believes that Hell is an abhorrent moral belief that is backed up by no evidence.
On the other hand, while showing Children horror movies may be not be the best thing to do, we can at least say that the movie was a work of fiction. Suffice to say Richard is attacking the greater of two evils.
Also, the worlds violent horror films are rated by the mpaa and something rated R can give the parents an Idea of what is in the movie. This often deters parents from allowing their child to watch the film.
@silencer4101st I don't think you'll find anyone who tells you live your life by horror films; on the other hand you have parents telling there children everything they teach in these hell-houses will come true.

I'm glad Christianity is a bit more 'relaxed' here in England. Most of the people I know under 40 are atheists here, I know that even YOUNG and EDUCATED people in America believe in God, which is a great shame.
Just goes to show the level of hate and immorality that Religion breeds. Good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things. This is and always will be true. But to get people, good or bad, to hate someone for what they do in their private lives, which hurts nobody, THAT takes Religion!
