Thanks for posting! Looked like one of those marvelous period cars was a Pierce-Arrow, at least from the angle I was briefly able to see it. Appeared headlights "grew" directly from fenders, long a Pierce staple.
@omahas9000 Thanks John. Yes it's a model 12 Pierce Arrow, '37 or '38 - not sure of the year. Great meeting ya Oct 8. You are a star in movie - LAST TRAIN TO LA VETA 2011
@WSOR10C 1100 looks great. She has traction problems with the rear truck as some machinery was removed. Now too light in the rear and the antislip stuff can not adequately compensate. Maybe a sandbox back there. News to me about the 1114. Thanks for sharing. If I hear more about 1114 on this end, I'll pass it along. Yes I have more of 1100 on this photo op. so expect at least one more upload that includes 1100.
@WSOR10C It seems they could weight it with something else. A sand box - put in sand, take out sand, until the engine weight is distributed right. Am I speaking thru my sand box? Is that not done with slugs? Concrete instead of sand.
@WSOR10C I did not know that. Nothing there that can not be fixed. I will stick with my sand box fix. If it works great. If it does not work we still have a sand box.
why can't think be beautiful like this today?

Any chance we can see more? Great to see the 1100. I remember seeing her pulling trains on cape cod as a kid. Are they still getting 1114 too?

@gjhgjh Yea, it used to have a HEP Gennerator in the back. Not surprising that removing it threw off the weight distribution

@gjhgjh It akso doesn't help that they added dynamic brakes right behind the cab where there was nothing, which further threw off the distribution
