I really enjoy that they're using the late 80s theme for the Scott Pelley opening, but I would rather have them use the later 90s theme for the long closings.
Does anyone know who's voice we hear saying "Experience. Cbs News"? The only thing I know about whoever does that voiceover is that he's voiced the intro and promos for "48 Hours" since it began airing on Cbs back in 88 I believe.
..oddly enough, If you go back and look at the Reasoner/Walters pairing at ABC, they have the same offset to the left closing shot like the one here .. with the same result.
I ran Dan and Connie's spiel through the LexisNexis archive of CBS News transcripts. These are the dates on which this could have aired: Monday, January 31, 1994 Wednesday, March 9, 1994 Wednesday, May 4, 1994 Wednesday, May 11, 1994 Wednesday, May 18, 1994 Wednesday, June 15, 1994 Wednesday, October 12, 1994 Wednesday, November 9, 1994 If you posted just a few more seconds of this broadcast, I could tell you the exact date on which it aired. (This is just a little hobby/obsession of mine.)

"Saturday Night Live" poked fun at Dan and Connie once. The sketch involved them trying to outdo one another during field reports.

The interesting thing is that, on some nights, Dan and Connie said good night to each other.
Here's the signoff from Wednesday, September 7, 1994:
RATHER: "48 Hours: Whatever Happened To?" tonight at 10, nine Central time.
CHUNG: And Dan and I will see you again tomorrow here on the CBS Evening News.
Thank you for joining us. And for all of us at CBS News, good night.
Good night, Dan.
RATHER: Good night, Connie.
Good night, everybody.

Great clip. Thanks for posting.
Do you have more of this broadcast, or any other CBS News broadcasts?

Oh, they hated each other's guts! No wonder Connie jumped ship to ABC!
