Noo impossible...why? Cuz if dispatcher calls u in car u must hear them talk....2..if u go assist someone u must speak n say"what's the plm here" etc...n if there was a runaway criminal u chase em n say"stop" or call for help on ur speaker ph on u....if some jumper try jump off building must speakbto em to calm em down.....if come to someones house knock door they won't answer must speak "police. Open door" etc...so very impossible.....cuz I myself hard of hearing tried to become one.. can't....
i dont buy their story at all! the federal laws say you must pass hearing test for any advance job! the percent had to be more than around 80% to 90% to pass hearing test. to me that any deaf can drive the sheriff car or fire chife? bullshit! any deaf can work only inside of building , not work with cop or chase bad guy....what if they know you are deaf so that can shoot you behide your back...u cant hear the click on the gun back of your head....hearing can hear.....deaf dont!! come on
