The melody line, if I remember correctly, is actually two FM (frequency modulated) sound tracks, with slight (a few Hz) frequency diff in right / left channel with delay(one channel starts a bit faster than the other) to create surround / delay effects.l

This track is officially recorded in CD / LP sold in Japan. Arcade versions don't have the melody line, but CD / LP did.

@Procyonidae Sounds like PSG but since they used the game's sound hardware (which doesn't have any PSG capabilities), i guess it's some FM modulate in a way that sounds like a square wave.

Is this an original unused track or a fan remix? Because the melodies were used in many of the inferior ports(Master System springs to mind), but left out of the Arcade and Megadrive/Genesis versions.
