disturbs me that that women knows nothing about goalkeeping... its clear that solo just guesses, its a gut feeling you dont get "send" into a corner. as a keeper you learn to watch thing, where do they put there standing leg? is the shooter right or left legged etc. based on that you just guess a corner. what solo then does is rely on her amazing skill and reflex, she steps into a corner, sees where the ball is going and then reacts.

The United States makes surprises by scoring one of the last 4 or something minutes. Landon Donovan in World Cup 2010 against Algeria. Then Abby Wambach at the 122 minute. So I hope that USA will make it to at least the quarter-finals for the men's team in 2014. Then women's team at least another title in 2015. GO USA!!!!!!!

Even though we lost the World Cup I think the USA in general grew closer, this goal was simply amazing! Watching it now after a few weeks after the cup still gives me the feelings to jump and scream! So what if we didnt win the world cup? There is the Olympics These women are amazing role models to people of all ages. Women's soccer is so much more thrilling to watch! Abby's goal thanks to Megan's cross, or Hope Solo's save on the third pk are the the perfect example of playing with heart. USA!

@solomorganfan don't forget ali krieger who scored the last goal to give the us the win in the penalty kick. it was truly a team effort that win. looking back at the video, it was christine who made christiane loss the ball all the way back, krieger got it then passed it to carli who then passed it to rapinoe who then made that fantastic pass to abby. amazing team work - all of that within 1 minute before they were about to loss the match and disappear in world cup oblivion. well done usa team!

@solomorganfan I agree, this game still gives me so much goosebumps. I think at some point when Krieger took the final PK and I knew the U.S. won, I cried on my sofa. I think the FIFA referees did a lot of injustice in that game the same way when Boxxy was given the red card on the WWC 08. What a great game! my number one pick for the drama and the epic conclusion with that awesome goal . Love you Pinoe!

Even though they played their best game against Japan this game was their moment. With the terrible calls by the referee and Brazil's antics this victory was all the more sweet. They truly deserved to win. Amazing game!
