I agree that if you're allowed to do it in a game that you should be allowed during the shootout. I don't like the shootout. It's not a way to decide a game. The game should be won or lost as a team during game play, not a skill's competition that requires a bit of luck. You might as well flip a coin for the winner. It's exciting to watch, but not fair. Please get rid of it.

Holik is a great player though! I'm a Leafs fan and I was highly dissapointed when I heard how much money we payed for Jason Blake, who will never amount to that money. It's great he's doing better though. Nice move, GO LEAFS!

Blake IS overpaid...but poor guy...he wouldn't be getting the heat he has in Toronto if he didn't have this mondo contract. Blake is a playmaker and has a great set of wheels! I think if Blake wants to be more effective he showed focus on being a playmaker, remember last season he led the Leafs in assists. He will probably never have another 40-goal season, but an assist is worth just as much as a goal!:)

I like the guy don't get me wrong, and respect him because he's on my team, it just sucks how much money we paid him, seriously! I think we need goal scorers more than anything right now, the Leafs completely lack any real offensive standout, Blake would probably be our best. I just always knew he wouldn't take us anywhere, and we probably could have got the similar production for someone else, for less.

Its a shooters choice what he wants to do, shoot out is always 50-50 chance. Blake could of easy lost the handle on this shot or any other shooters that try this move. Just because it went in does not make it cheap goal.

Fairness or not, I'm kinda on the fence about it. I'm in organized hockey so I can understand other players frowning upon the hot dogging aspects. But as a fan, I can see this becoming hockey's answer to the dunk.

I can't imagine a player doing this move on a breakaway, only in a shoot-out. Can you imagine the repercussions for doing this when you've got a defenseman trailing you?
