Tj, its called heel-toe downshift. The purpose for doing it is to create smoother downshifts by pressing the clutch, revving and shifting at the same time, then releasing the clutch.

@Drixcs Dude, it's easy as. When you're braking whilst coming into anything you need to downshift for, keep your right foot on the brake, clutch in with your left foot, whilst the clutch is in, swivel your right foot whilst keeping your toes on the brake pedal and use your heel to push down on the accelerator for a second to rev the engine. Whilst doing that, shift down to whatever gear you wish, take your foot off the accelerator and stay on the brake, clutch out. Heel toe'd.

@Drixcs It takes a bit of getting use to. I started doing it in my car, was a bit slow and clunky at first, but gradually got more smooth with it. It's all in the practise/constant use. The more you do it, the better you'll be at it. Once you get good enough, try learning to downshift through all the gears until you get the one you want like this guy does.
