Why is it that all of the supposedly gay artists are the ones who can sing? For example, El Debarge, Freddie Jackson, Luther Vandross, Tevin Campbell to name a few? Just curious.

@silvermist1216 well.. it is a known fact that females are physiologically more suited for singing due to higher pitch, softer voice etc.. and these vocal features can then be said to be a result of higher estrogen levels or something along those lines.. and if we assume that gay men are closer hormonally to females this would explain why they are better singers than other men. Another example would be classical counter tenors - their voices resemble women and many, perhaps most of them are gay.

I tell people this song is the soundtrack to my summer of 1994, in St. Martinville, Louisiana. I spent that summer at my father's crib. I was 8 years old & was really into this 7 year old girl with gold filling & braids like Janet in Poetic Justice. This is the only song I can clearly remember be played over & over that summer. Today she's married with kids & I'm a local rap artist. But still til this day, every time I see her, this song plays in my head.

Without question or debate........this is my personal ALL-TIME favorite Tevin Campbell tune.....by far! Extremely gifted young brother who was fortunate enough to work with the likes of Quincy Jones, Babyface & Prince........and pretty much had the world in his hands. He then proceeded to get "sidetracked" by life, as SO MANY young talents do........and completely fell off the "Radar Screen" of fame. I sincerely wish this brother ALL of God's love & blessings.
