  • There was one tiny problem with the lahti, the shooting process went out like this for most soldiers:

    Load

    Aim

    Shoot

Get the hell out of there before t 34's run you down.

  • FPSRussia should do a video on this gun

  • @ConorWill He would need to find one first, afford to buy it second, get past the paperwork third.

  • so much for that lab hearing anything again ever.

  • @autocar99 The dog was behind the gun, its not very loud. most of the noise goes to the sides of the muzzle. A bit startling perhaps, but not dangerous.

  • Excuse me, theres an impending zombie apoclypse.. may I borrow this?

  • these were used against planes too, these are badass weapons very accurate.

  • @LivetysWiretys livetys.. mikä on sun steam nimi.. löysin sut tästä vidistä.. ja muistin sut.. nyt mietin mikä sun steam nimi o :D

  • @mirotzu99 oksul ro2 ?

  • @LivetysWiretys ei ole :( vain 1

  • @LivetysWiretys mut kerro se sun steam nimi.. eikun.. ei.. en kato kovin gmailiani.. puhu steamissa mulle :D nimi on FL RP miro

  • Dear santa...

  • That was an exspensive day huh?

  • poor dog

  • @stugmann91 Dog was behind the gun where the noise is minimal. It all goes out the sides, and is not sharp at all. Thou dost protest too much, and in too vulger a manner.

  • @stugmann91 It can make you deaf in 4 shots? You have tested this in a controlled setting? You said about four shots, what was the standard deviation in the sample group?

  • IS THAT A SNOW MOBILE?

  • @hgpwns If you fire it on the snow with the bipod up, you will certainly be mobile.......

  • poh ey!

  • damn, the bipod is like a pair of ski's

  • @Prone2Disaster Both actually, the bipod legs unlock, and swing down for use, the skis are for moving the gun, and providing support when firing in the snow. The recoil mechanism doesnt work if the legs are up.

  • finnish quality tank destroyer.

  • So, where did you aquire this weapon sir. I'm not with the, ahem, NSA or anything. *looks around*

  • @gtaclevelandcity Except for some in museums, they are in private hands, so to get one you have to find an owner willing to sell. Private transfer of NFA weapons are done on the BATFE form 4, load of paperwork, investigations, and a nice tax. These rifles havn't been made for 70 yrs, so not many around.

  • They should still use this !!!

  • Oh yeaaah, Lahti L-39. My favourite rifle.

  • Oh yeaaah, Lahti L-39. My favourite rifle.

  • 65 US dollars for one round

  • Why the hell would you bring the dog with you when firing loud-ass weapons?

  • Grind action?!!!

  • The guy firing the rifle sounds like Hunter S. Thompson.

  • notice: it is spelt "skies" and "reindeer"

  • Comment removed

  • The best part is that it's easily concealable.

  • *firing. not fireing do spell check next time

  • Didnt you use one of these in the Russian mission of COD 2 or 3

  • @GeneralG1810 i think that would of been PTRD rifle

  • How much is each cartridge?

  • @D33Lux between $50, and $70 for service A.P. ammo in good shape.

  • Gotta love the southern accent :P

  • the finnish barett

  • @obs222 Far beyond anything the Barrett can do. The Barrett is a fine line of rifles, but was never intended for the work this did.

  • @beardo52 You got to think about what each of the rifles are desgin The Lahti is a anti- tank rifle to stop enemy tanks, and that Lahti can easily punch a hole in a Mack truck engine block, and the Barrett.50 cal is anti-personal rife

  • @PCGAMEfreak You should try firing both of them, then you will understand.

  • @beardo52 okay, whatever you say....

  • @PCGAMEfreak

The M82 is used in 30 different countries. It's a multi purpose rifle most oftenly used with the incendiary or armor piercing rounds to shoot at mines, electrical installations, vehicles. In short, general demolition. Not so often used with the full metal rounds to shoot at soldiers. thats an internet and movie "fact" :-)

    For instance in Sweden it's named AG90, AG90B, AG90C.

AG90 = Used for clearing mines and ammo

AG90B = Spec Ops, shorter barrel, smaller magazine, smaller optics

  • @peterpunch1

And the AG90B is not in general used for shooting at people.. it's also demolition in the field.. For shooting people you use smaller things, like PSG90 (L96A1 or "Arctic Warfare")

  • I use one of those to remove the mushrooms on my lawn.

  • That gun is BEAUTIFUL

  • GET OFF MY LAWN

  • Poor dock. I can´t imagine how loud that must be for him.

  • @SangerZonvolt He was behind the gun, which is the place to be. Its much quieter there as the muzzle brake directs the noise to the sides.

  • @beardo52

But seeing how a regular handgun is quite loud, even behind the gun, isn´t this gun extremely loud? I never heard one so big fire in reality, biggest caliber I fired myself was 7,62. How loud is it compared to that?

  • @SangerZonvolt It makes a very throaty boom, not a cracking sound as do rifles. there are a couple of videos here that have the sound of the rifle as it really is, Its surprising how not loud it is. The sights are so close to the receiver that ear muffs can't be used. Recoil isnt harsh either, just a good shove. The rifle is near 8 ft. long, so the muzzle is fair distant from those behind it.

  • Haha I'm barely German. We did (Insert Nationality Here)Snipe13 and my other nationalities were taken so I picked German

  • @GermanSnipe14 No prob, it was a jest anyway,,,

  • I wouldn't trust someone who can't spell "firing" with a 20mm anti tank rifle.

  • @GermanSnipe14 And more than a few people wouldn't care to trust a German with any manner of firearm. They didn't play nice with the ones they'd had. :P

  • Nuillahan ne ukit joskus ampuivat ryssien tankkeja paskaksi, ainakin Summan taisteluissa..? Kaikki kunnia heille. Some our grandfathers shoot that gun some Soviets tanks and colons, and make troubles invasion forces from Russia .. Thanks for our veterans, Soviets never take our country! Small, but strong country, Finland.

  • Dogs are not deaf...

  • @valttu94 That one is......now

  • how much does each round cost?

  • @D3cyTH3r What ever its present owner asks, its not commercially produced in the U.S. original stuff can cost huge, more than $50 per. Reloads are cheaper to make, but you need the equipment to do the work.

  • and china can invade us......RIGHT!!

  • because every body on youtube got videos of ak's ar15 all the handguns hitting vest and none penetrate i just wanted to see what would happen to someone wearing a vest that got a direct hit from something that will pentrate if you have a vest that you dont want anymore post it if you dont have one dont worry about it nice gun.

  • can you please upload this gun hitting a bullet proof vest

  • @scarnape why, bullet proof vests cant stop mini nukes XD

  • @scarnape You can put a vest behind a 50mm steel plate, and it will still go through it.

  • And that handle is for opening windows

  • maybe for anti LAV

  • @Thomlistentoslayer Most tanks of the later 30's carried less, and lower quality armor than the present day light armored vehicles. Keep in mind that the Lahti is 70 yrs old.

  • @petem79 what?

  • even the cameras ears are ringing

  • I love guns made in Finland :D

  • Freaking magazine's the size of a toaster.

  • @joiless And the bullets are the size of carrots.

  • dear santa...

  • i'd love to see obama come take that toy away... lol

  • BITCHES LOVE CANNONS!

  • how do people shoot those fucking guns

  • @turok23451 As they would any other rifle.

  • Well, aim it on the target, squeeze the trigger...BOOM!...that´s it.

  • @NKA23 yeah, you only have to adjust for wind, distance, bullet arc, efferctive penetrating distance, whether the target is moving or stationary.

there's a lot more to shooting than call of duty point and click.

  • I was kidding, man.

  • @turok23451

    It's called being a man

  • First gun I have seen with skies.

  • @hellow533 They are for extreme Bi-Athlon games....:P

  • When I was in the Finnish army we had a WW2 veteran telling us a story about his platoon using this rifle to shoot incoming soviet speed boats at Syväri during the summer of 1944. He said: "If you hit a boat, it would most certainly sink from the first hit. Also, if you hit the target, you could shoot again, but if you missed it was someone else's turn". It is an impressive gun.

  • did i heard some hillbilly there?

  • finlands anti tank gun

  • @normalfingerboarder But they're ours now,,, BWAHAHAHAHA!

  • It would be possible to shoot it while standing?

  • @VickyHawk hell no. it weighs over 110 pounds :p

  • @VickyHawk No, aside from the weight of the thing, the recoil would injure the shooter. I have seen the Boys rifle fired while standing, but even that was pushing it, and the boys is far less powerful.

  • What is the purpose of this crank to the right of the gun?

  • @VickyHawk The crank is the charging mechanism, it draws the bolt back to the locked position, so a round can be chambered, or to clear the weapon.

  • @beardo52 Thanks for the answer, my friend.

  • fuck the 50.cals!

  • And that's why russians couldn't invade the whole Finland....

  • @jopeteus and because they had Simo

  • @PlanetoftheRape He def had a huge influence on the Finnish Victory.

  • @jopeteus

That and Simo Háyha, the white Death.

  • @jopeteus Lahti was actually pretty much useless when russian T-28 and T-34 tanks appeared. Not to speak about KV. Much of Lahti rifles were converted to Anti Air use.

  • @ajappat The later version of the T-28 had heavier armor, except at the sides than did the earlier version, which was very vulnerable to the L-39. The lesser armor at the sides of the late model was still vulnerable, but limited the oportunities to engage with any reasonable degree of success. After tanks outgrew the infantry anti-tank rifles, they were put to whatever other uses that could be found, including A.A. work. some few hundred L-39 were converted to full auto for the job.

  • Looks like a blast to shoot, but you should take out your earplugs since the dog doesn't get any. He or she looks scared to death after that first round was fired.

  • Why are the top comments on Caps lock?

  • @BooyaaPwned WHY ARE THE TOP COMMENTS ON CAPS LOCK ?

  • thats not an anti-materiel rifle. it is a anti-everything rifle.

  • The dog is obviously not gun-shy

  • In Finland bullets propel you.

  • Where can i buy this

  • What is't for that winding thing?

  • @doctorwhotoclafane its how you pull the bolt back

  • @doctorwhotoclafane That is the cocking lever.

  • How else would you rob a bank?

  • I would love to see someone just hold the front with like a towel and have the shooter full auto mod it and then run around going to town on some bitches

Yeah i know its most likely not possible, dont crush my dreams -.-

  • @ChickinSammichMan Two people holding this while firing? even in semi auto such a stunt would cripple them. Try having better dreams.

  • Video Uploader failed! haha! Look at video tags: Lathi

  • you dont wanna get hit by that thing

  • @zooders In the late 30's there were no MBT's, just thinly armored clunks more resembling tracked dumpsters than a modern tank. Its intended targets were carrying no more than 25mm of armor, and for the most part less than 15mm which was well within the abilities of this rifle. Reference the Soviet BT_5, BT-7, and T-26 vehicles sent against Finland in the Winter War. These rifles were infantry anti armor weapons, and pretty much all that was possible in those days.

  • russians hate this machine!!

  • @zerob230e not really cause it couldn't penetrate mbt armor and wasn't very accurate. the problem with the system was it was good on soft targets even up to apc and other light armor vehicles but it could not defeat the armor of a mbt. they weren't even all that effective against personnel. because of the heavy recoil, the and the immobility of the weapon, it wasnt favored to shoot

  • Quote "they were live rounds?" - what, you thought those were blanks that were kicking up dirt?

  • @WinchesterRanger In this context "live rounds" =original service munitions having steel A.P. shot projectiles, and full charge propellant load, as opposed to reloads using light blue U.S. inert training projectiles, and usually a lighter propellant charge to save the brass for future reloading, and reduce wear on the gun.

  • @DeadspaceMcgee its the Hispano-Suiza/Oldsmobile 20mm Cannon

  • Designed in Finland

  • @jukki10 -So?

  • @saints360row nothing?

  • "oh they were live rounds?" yes billy bob that explosion back there what you were filming was caused by those rounds.

  • you need sleight of hand pro for that to work efficiently...lol

  • booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmm!!

  • you taking the gun when you go on your ski holiday or something =)

  • This is one of the few weapons designed to kill Chuck norris, while it's lethality id confirmed, none have gotten close enough.

  • @poik12 This gun isnt made to kill chuck norris. Its purpose is blow soviet WW2 tanks turrets sky high

This is finnish anti-tank rifle. Used in Winter War 1939-1940 and Continuation War 1941-1944.

Its nick name among finnish soldiers was norsupyssy aka "elephant gun". During Continuation war this gun couldnt penetrate T-34 or KV-1 so some good shooters could shot IL-2 ground attack plane down.

  • @TrueFinn1 Don't worry, I know what it really was intended for, just thought I'd make the joke.

  • @DeadspaceMcgee There is, but none of them were imported .

  • poor dog probably went deaf from that

  • wonder how much this thing costs.

  • @IcyScythe Whatever the owner wants for it. Only so many around, the average is about $8,000. Then there is the paperwork, and transfer tax of $200.

  • 12 people USED to have tanks!

  • GET OFF MY LAWN YOU PUNKS!

  • imagine taking one of those rounds to the chest...

  • Dear Santa....

  • BREN LMG on steroids

  • @0willsy01 but in the winter war fins had practicaly no tanks or apc:s... but think that u shoot to tanks catepillar with this gun and the temperature is -30... if 10 tanks are driving on a smal road and you destroy the first and last... its kalled "motti"... and tanks crew were froze to death...

  • Something great from Finland, beside Nokia.

  • @JauhoPeltola They could send over a boat load of ammo,, getting scarce these days...

  • so this is legal but weed isnt?

  • @IsaraiLee I'm fine with it. I'd take a Lahti over Weed any day.

  • @IsaraiLee Yep, the world is a fucked up place.

  • dude okay i got this big ass rifle but no where to shoot it any ideas? hmmm... how about this small ass table for this big ass rifle. BRILLIANT

  • that is insane. imagine the destruction to a tank with that gun

  • @SouthernYankee315 It's an awesome tool, but tanks quickly evolved thicker armour and the Lahti was reassigned for sniper duty... I certainly wouldn't like to be hit by one of those bullets :-)

  • that ammo must be like $50 a piece

  • Comment removed

  • Whee do u get ammo for such a beast??

  • THIS IS THE SAME GUN THAT MADE CRATERS ON THE MOON!!!

  • @mochababy2 THIS IS THE SAME GUN THAT MADE CRATERS ON RUSKIE SOLDIERS!

No offence at all. Defending country doesn't mean hate :)

This was brilliant gun. It could easily penetrate T-26's armor, and it made some serious damage to armored cars and armored shields (?) russians used to cover their attacking infantry.

  • I wana go deer hunting with this thing, after I shoot it there wont be anything to eat

  • that isnt a pistol ITS A MOTHER FUCKING LAHTI :D

  • Lol the dog is picking up the spent cartridge !

  • cant understand the damn stupid shell ejection, goddamn finnish weapon engineers

  • i was in the middle of turnin my volume down and the motherfucker shot and it scared the shit outta me xD

  • Does the have the Henry bowman modification, to the mag & bolt?

  • 50 cal rounds kills everyone in the room. rounds from that thing kill chuck norris

  • Enjoyed the downrange footage of this rare weapon. Thanks for posting!
