If you like Aliens, Predator, AVP, then I highly recommend the earlier Dark Horse comics series. They started collecting them again in omnibus volumes and they're cheap for the amount that you get in each.

I don't like Daken just cause he is the 2nd son of Wolverines with a mohawk but they created him when he has a perfectly legit son in the savage lands they could have used. But I suppose in 15 years that kid only aged 2years in comic timelines.

They haven't at all on his Savage Land kid. Colossus also has a kid in the Savage Lands that I don't think is getting any page time.

As far as I know, neither of them know they have those kids.

The only part I really like about Daken is with today's popularity with tattoos, he's one of few who clearly has them in comics.

Grace from DC as well.

But other than a facial/forehead mark or their gimmick, just don't see 'em much in comics.

heres a DC 101 on how Hal died and became the Specter. baisically when the DC' heroe's sun was distinguished Hal used all his powers as Parallax to reignight the sun showing that there was still good in him from there he was the next host to share a body with the Specter. and rather than use the spirit as a being of vengeance he used him as a grim reaper to guide spirits to the afterlife and redeem them. hope this helped.

You should really catch up on Green Lantern! Good stuff! That book has hit the mark every issue for years now, all thanks to Geoff Johns.

And what's with the crazy comic book prices? That's why I wait for trades now.

Let's hope Ryan Reynolds doesn't disappoint (sp?) as Hal Jordan. I wonder who they'll cast for Sinestro? Hugo Weaving's the first actor to pop into my mind, but I doubt that's gonna happen. They'll probably cast Dane Cook as Sinestro instead. :(

I'm pretty confident that he'll do a good job. But I'm more excited about him playing Deadpool. C: I think that's a better fit for him.

I agree....I'd love to see an awesome Deadpool movie, but that film's being handled by 20th Century Fox, and their track record isn't the greatest. I mean, look at what they did to Deadpool in the Wolverine movie. I doubt it'll be faithful to the book. I guess all we can do is hope and pray to the comic book gods (I'm guessing Thor's daddy, Odin?) for it to turn out well.

Agreed! I'm thinking this can make or break Fox. If they get this right, they can redeem themselves... But if they try something like Barakapool again, then many fans will lose all hope. Still, Reynolds has said he's a big Deadpool fan and that he is hoping to bring some more true-to-comic elements into the new movie, so here's to a possibly decent film!
