Listen genius, you've probably never used a time lapse camera but these are not time lapse shots. A time lapse camera takes a series of still photos over a long period of time. The camera would not be able to move the way it is moving and besides it's totally obvious these aren't real plants. There are some interesting plants with similar behaviors but that doesn't make all of these plants real.
@MaxJCollins Like I said to the last guy... zoom in, add wiggle effect to time lapse shots for a camera shake illusion. Even without that trick, there are tripods that can be programmed to move extremely slowly and give a shake illusion on its own. still, i dunno if those were real plants... maybe south america has some strange ones.
definitely cg, no doubt about it. With today's technology this is quite feasible. If it was a little older it might be a few layers of cg on top of an actual real-life base but other wise cgi ftw =]
Do you take us for fools? Not only is it CG, it's bad CG. You should be ashamed for trying to keep up the reuse that this is 'time-lapse photography'. Real time-laps is easily spotted and I can tell you this is not time-lapse, nor is it natural. It's CG elements imposed onto a video of natural elements.
2. Timelapse? You could move the camera a bit and make it last hours, but a timelapse with chaotic, fast movement of hand-held camera? Don't make me laugh.
3. 2:53. Plants walking on trees. No comments on that.
4. What exactly do we see on 0:51? Toothpaste snails?
haha..very nice video....it is computer grapgics, but most of those creatures are real animals, just not in that sense..there were starfish, venus fly traps and clams, but there were too fast and too....alian like to be real...still,an interesting video indeed
just wanna make sure we all c the same thing all of this is graphics its not mother nature when the hell have u seen trees with eyes and so many moving features anyways great video amazing graphics
This is all Nature. These are time lapse photography films. Cameras were set up and left for several hours. Then the film is played back at a fast speed and this is what you get. I assure you there is NO CG in this at all.
what earth destroyer means is the camera moving aroung the objects, and so smoothly. also from 0.43 to 0.49 the camera zooms out and takes to long to focus (the time it would have taken to focus would have been a split second due to it being sped up by the playback rate)
also its not that its too amazing to be real, but some of the plants just look plain cg, especially compared to the real background
Haha. Sorry, brother. You don't zoom in and out in timelapse. Your water is moving with gravity also. Very impressive animation though. Work on your lighting. All fake. ;)
@EarDestroyer The video can be edited to add camera shake. all they had to do was zoom in and add a 'wiggle' effect to give the illusion of a handheld camera. but I still can't tell if those plants are real or not.

Dude, no offence, but to believe that this is mother nature at it's best is just.. well, don't wanna use rude words, but let's just say that it;s not quite intelligent. First of all, if it were a time lapse video, you wouldn't see the leafs moving like that in the wind, the light source would change and you couldn;t move the camera or zoom.
cg,,,

ok we have unlimited graphics, now we need a realistic physics and lots of terra-bytes and we'll be able to create a big bang.

CG but nicely done. BTW, you can definitely give a handheld look to timelapse video...do it in post for cheap or use a computerized tripod mount.

If it's timelapse shouldn't the leafs wave really fast on the wind? And can you name some of these plants? We need proof, man!

this is not timelapse nor is it nature... if it is, what kind of plants are these?

Bullshit.
2:53 says everything about it.
If you disagree...
1. Did anybody ever see metallic plants? 1:00
2. Timelapse? You could move the camera a bit and make it last hours, but a timelapse with chaotic, fast movement of hand-held camera? Don't make me laugh.

I agree that this is a sickass CG piece. Great job. But that ain't no fucking South America.

Great Time lapse Photography. These must be exotic varieties that have so many characteristics, to achieve these crazy end results.

thats hard to believe i mean what are some of these plants the names? cus ive never seen them in more life nor heard of them
EarDestroyer 3 years ago
also the camera is moving so it cant be timelapse since time lapse are usually placed on a stand unless u gonna hold the camera over several hours
EarDestroyer 3 years ago
Huh? The camera is on a tri-pod, and of course it can move and then stay still for hours. (sigh) All the plants are from South America.
Bliss
