  • Goosebumps, EVERYWHERE.

Such an enjoyable version of this musical. :)

  • Not as exciting as the Rob Ashford choreography, but none of those men look like power-bottoms when they're dancing, so you know... that's a plus.

  • "BRUUUDDEEERRRHOOODD OOOO' MAAAN!" XD

  • Lillias White <3

  • Wow, she's way better than the one they have now (in my opinion anyway.) Her notes don't go to any annoying high

  • @nuttynatty320 I think the current version's actress was going more for comedic parody so the shrillness of her singing is intentional. But certainly this version is easier on the ears.

  • who is the girl?

  • @tapdanczer03080 Her name is Lillias White

  • Broderick is good, but of the Three I prefer Robert Morse. After Morse is Daniel Radcliffe, Mathew Broderick is last (still good though).

  • Oh wow that ladies voice Is not what I expected to come from her! It is very nice! Great job! I love this musical!

  • Ella Fitzergerald in a second!

  • SING IT GIRL!

  • God, I really love his voice!

  • @Marenay He sucks he could never sing! he is terrible.... his best role was Simba and the producers

  • @JeremySheer Musical actors doesn't have to be able to sing.

Plus Marenay said "his voice" not his singing.

    KTHXBYE.

  • @iD3idara As long as you have a song in a musical, you should be able to sing. Hal Prince if full of crap.

  • I think the new one is better although she can sing

  • Wow! Lillias White makes everyone else in this number simply fade into the background!

  • mathew broderick is made for musical theatre :P

  • I love his voice, it's so nice :)

  • I bet he could EGOT

  • Frickin' A ... I got goose bumps from her! You better sing, honey! Whew!

  • Lillias White tares this song up at the end: love it!

  • Cool!

  • The whole sister thing ruins the song. Too much skat.

  • @paniciron26 you know nothing.

  • @paniciron26 ?? youre dumb

  • I have seen a lot of plays and shows in my life .. I mean a lot . But when I saw this I had an orgasm ... truly the best thing I have seen in my life ...

  • WOW !! this must have been electrifying LIVE !

  • There's nothing like a good, show-stopping Broadway show tune.

  • He sounds better than now I think...

  • @MarisandGrady

    Middle of this month (June)

  • omg matthew broderick <3333

  • Wait a minute, Matthew Broderick!? LOL!

  • i only searched this because of daniel Radcliffe

  • @umar12131 damn strait

  • @umar12131 i saw the new show it on broadway with him it was so funny and i really enjoyed it he made it that much better

  • I saw this play in Broadway last week! It's a must see. Hadn't had sucha great time in ages! Wonderful!

  • Broderick is brilliant!

  • I just saw my high school production of this musical last night, it was amazing! I can't get the same feel out of this video as I did last night. I think my high school's Finch was amazing, but the Miss. Jones in this video is really good!

  • Radcliffe not Robert Morse but good job nevertheless. Best number in this show is "Old Ivy". Done here better than original, better than movie, better than Brodrick revival.

    Worth seeing.

  • i loved how to succeed with daniel radcliffe. i saw it last week... i CAN NOT WAIT for the soundtack for the revival... any ideas when it will be out? i know its still in previews but daniel was amazing..

  • @MarisandGrady

Was great, wasn't it? I was also there last week at the wednesday matinee. It was the best thing I saw in NY. Cheers from Spain.

  • We have tickets for "How to succeed in business without really trying" with Daniel Radcliffe for the first weekend in March.

    We can't wait!

My partner and I saw him in "Equis" a while back.

I am very happy to know that Daniel Radcliffe is expanding beyond his "Harry Potter" character.

He is a very talented young man and his talent should not be wasted.

  • @edvisigoth

I'll be there on my school band trip to see it too!

  • @ashipwee

My partner and I saw "How to succeed..." yesterday, 03/05/11.

    Daniel Radcliffe was very good!

He has a very good singing voice and he definitely has all the dance moves!

The audience response was extremely positive.

Between "Harry Potter," "Equis" and "How to succeed," I believe Daniel Radcliffe has more than proven that he is a versatile actor and performer.

He is a young and talentede man.

I look forward to seeing more of him, I hope, on Broadway!

    How was your trip?

  • @edvisigoth Not sure if I can't imagine Dan singing and dancing...but really forward to see him in a new gig. I wish him success ")

  • I actually think daniel could pull off finch quite well maybe not as well as morse but he'll hold his own

  • Rather limpwristed production with Broderick, compared to the ORIGINAL. There is ONLY ONLY GREAT HTS. Fey to this.

  • ughhh....daniel radcliffe is so going to ruin this!

  • My school just did this play..It was great!

  • Uh I think I like Morse's version better.

  • @realar they are both excellent.

  • So excited about the fact that they are going to ramake it with Daniel Radcliffe in it !!

  • @MissDelpeche really? when do they plan to do that. My school is putiing on this play this weekend. can't wait.

  • I love when she laughs "uhahaha!" Cracks me up every time! At 2:42

  • wow i always liked this number but after seeing lillias white i am head over heels in love with it!!!! BRILLIANT LILLIAS BRILLIANT!!!

  • i always liked this number but after seeing lillias white i am now in love with it!!!!! she fucking rocks!

  • GET SOME LILLIAS WHITE

  • This is bar-none my all-time favorite moment from The Tony Awards! (In The Heights in 2008 is a close second).

  • oh lillias... i love you!

  • that gurl is killin it!!! :D

  • I was Miss Jones in our production. I apparently was the only girl able to sing her part, which I didn't mind. We just didn't do the scatting that comes with this revival. Other than that, ours was really similar to this.

  • i play finch in this show! last night was openign night for our school(:

  • matthew broderick as monty? absolutely perfect.

  • @alyssa2394 who's monty? The lead character in this musical is named "Finch." Rumor has it Daniel Radcliffe is going to play Finch in an upcoming revival of the musical.

  • @MelkhorX It's been confirmed...Dan IS going to play Finch in a revival.

  • you mean ponty...

  • Seriously NO ONE KNEW Megan Mullally who plays Karen Walker IN Will and Grace was staring as Rose Mary on broadway back then with matthew broadawick..no one never knew who she was back then until after the tv show, now ppl know her!

  • Compared to the original, that was pretty

    terrible.

  • Love that Jennifer Holliday is Miss Jones!

  • umm, Lillias White

  • love her number.. wish i was playing her in the school play

  • stupid..she has more talent in her pinky than you have common sense

  • cool interesting to see the new production of this play with daniel radcliffe

  • Lillias White is a Goddess among men.

  • IM PLAYING MISS JONES!!

  • it was a good number until the sistah came in and ruined it... why do they have to blackify everything

  • Wow! That was racist!

  • ..How?

  • @mookyp its jazzed up. what the hell are you talking about? why is it an issue anytime someone black adds their gift to a show. ignorance.

  • @mookyp actually that is excatly how Frank Looser wanted the number to originally be staged, but those who did the original remembered that they were not aloud to make it a jazz number that Frank wanted. They had to tame it down. I remember reading that this revival got the permission from the Looser Estate to incorporate this int he revival and make it the real 11 O'clock number it should be. I say bravo...imagine if this was the orginal back when it first premiered?

  • I can't find the 'Unhappy' song anywhere! Any help would be awesome.='(

  • i like the tmp one better just bad bad plus there lips dont even match

  • im in the orchestra for this show...its pretty amazing. my school is doing this next week im gonna post the videos

  • This was the first show I saw on Broadway as a teenager in 1995, great show, great score, this was the showstopper number!

  • yeah, in two weeks my school is doing this. I'm stage manager for it. the best thing about it though it that my principal is playing Mr. Womper. XD

  • Im the one and only WHOMPER yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

  • oh god, this is what my school is going to do?

    *screams*

  • Haha, no. There's one good song. Looking for it right now. It's called,'Unhappy.' It's VERY funny.

  • OMG! my school's doing this for our spring musical and i'm miss jones! thats my part :S i hope i can live up to that...but i doubt it, she's too amazing! :)

  • awesome!

  • She is amazing.

  • wow i forgot about this..thats Lillias White before she won her tony for "The Life"...she basically stole the show with this number!

  • This is an awesome show. I am Mr. Gatch for my school this year. I am SO excited

  • My school is also doing this right now :) Good show. Been a long day is stuck in my head

  • you go to WHS?

  • WHS?, is that Willits?

  • Is this..the revival? Haha the scatting is neat.

My school is doing this so musical right now^^

  • I was lucky enough to see this with my kids

on Broadway, with Matthew Broderick. We all loved it. The set was absolutely spectacular!!

  • when i watched the movie the entire time i was thinking the guy was mathew broderick's father i think its interesting he played this part

  • The original Finch. Robert Morse, won the Tony award the year Matthew was born and, 33 years later, Matthew took home the Tony for his performance of the same role.

  • wow! That's crazy!! Thanks for the info :)

Ugh, Lillias is BRILLIANT in this. I still can't get over it. She's PERFECTION!

  • I did see this on Broadway yrs ago....terrific show. Broderick did an excellent job (albeit not as good as Morse). I was fortunate to see the show with Sarah Jessica Parker as the love interest...she took over later on in the show. She was a TERRIFIC Rosemary!

  • I love Matthew so much in this, he's amazing. :o)

  • Roger Morse is better... and Zach.. the guy who is playing Ponty (J. pierpont finch) in our school's production is WAYY better :D

  • Wow; sounds like some school...

  • Ohhh Miss Jones! Who the hell is that, she's amazing!!! I'm playing that role now in my high school production.

  • That's Lillias White.

  • I dont like Broderick as much as Roger Morse, the original J. Pierpont

  • or as he's better known, Robert Morse

  • ooooh first comment!!...but i Love this song..& the staging of it is genius..& the black ladies voice was unbelievable!!
