Fun game. I had it for the PC. Actually, I still have it. Dennis Hopper's voice acting was perfect for it.

Oh, and the game works just fine on a modern computer with Windows XP. I haven't tried it with Vista, 7 or Linux under WINE. My 486DX2 had a terrible time with this game back when I first played it and it would crash and be choppy as hell. It runs great now! It's like Phantasmagoria in that way, which works fine with DOSBOX.

But the plot here as near as I can guess is that in the future Hell has been discovered and is being used as a penal colony, and your characters have been consigned to it unlawfully because of a conspiracy.

I remember seeing this in a gaming magazine when I was young. I was so blown by the graphics, its especially funny from where we sit now. I was also stunned because the whole being in "Hell" thing really freaked me out back then. I never got to play it, though from these videos, I'm sorta relieved. haha

No, I don't think graphics is everything, the playability and plot are the defining factors of a game. That said, a good game can be brought down by bad graphics.

This is one of the games where a few months of extra design and rendering time would have paid off well. Check out Crusader or Cyberia for an idea of how pre-rendered graphics of the time were expected to look.

I loved this game... I mean the game part was kinda meh but the story and dialog was amazing. My other fave story goes to Star Control 2 for 3D0 as well. The only different is SC2 was also a phenomenal game. I'd love a remake on like XBox360 or something.

I remember this game. The intro was cool, but the gameplay was so boring. Most of the so-called 'gameplay' was listening to conversations while watching a looping five second clip of an animated character. I got stuck at one point and never picked it back up.

I've still got my original copy of this still in the box. The cyberpunk/hacking elements of the game were really cool when the game first came out. Graphics were pretty good for the time as well.

Oh man, this is one of my fav. games! I got it for both the 3DO and the PC. The PC version was harder but I played it more times on the 3DO. It was the first time I ever heard swearing and saw nudity on a video game. The puzzles were nice and hard too. I liked it so much I bought the novel. LOL
