  • Why does your room have a counter?

  • Does action replay work with Imports? I have action Replay max and it has a region swith on there.

  • I'm not kidding around I seriously need your help with my ps2 I can't get my swap magic 3.8 to work so that I can play my KH2 Final Mix. So I'm begging you please help me out.

  • I installed my flip top cover last night but now my swap magic 3.8 won't work and even if the disc was read I start it up and it dosen't show the ps2 logo. Can you tell me what to do I'm lost with this?

  • Okay, I bought an imported game, and I want to play it on my PS3. My PS3 is the older type that can play PS2/PS1 games. Will Swap Magic work on my PS3?

  • @GenocidalEdge The only difference is that the PS3 is region-free. PS1 and PS2 are regional blockouts.

  • @Spriggangirl Yeah I know that, but the problem is that my PS3 can't play PS2 games because the games are what are region blocked, not my console.

  • I thank my friend for "accidentally" modding my ps2 to open while Spining, so I don't have to buy one of those ugly covers:)

  • Oh yeah and one more thing.I bought my first PS2 like last month on october.I saw under my console and it didnt have those six screws.I checked and it said its SCPH 90001.Can anyone tell me why it doesnt have the six screws so if mine doesnt have them i can just put the discs in and thats all i have to do?

  • @MrWifiman100 Theres little covers for them. Look up how to open ps2

  • hey can anyone answer. Can you play swapmagic without the need to change the flip cover or do you have to switch it becuase i really want swapmagic for Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix but i dont want to do this and do that remove the screws take it apart and build it again. If you could answer ill appreciate it thanks!!!

  • @MrWifiman100

You will have to change the top cover, as the system can tell when you open the normal cover. I know it's an ugly top, (I have a silver ps2) but it works.

  • @MrWifiman100 same here!!! I want Swap Magic for Forbidden Siren 2 and when i first heard about Swap Magic i rejoiced. I heard all this "easy and won't void your warranty, no modding etc". Then(luckily)I read up more on it and find out about all this removing the flip cover crap. It just seems like a bit much just to play one game. This is why i wish they'd just release games everywhere and so we won't have to go through all this bullshit to play one fucking imported game...geez

  • can u use it for a ps3

  • theres a memory card exploit that makes the swap disc obsolete in its self

but either way just play your games off the PS1 and PS2 emulators there working at full speeds..

  • lol my dad used to always use swap magic ,he even made our ps2 green it was the coolest thing ever

  • Will that flip top work with a 79001 model?

  • i thought a ps2 slim was already a flip open lid ?

  • @TeamStaplez It should do, i have a pal ps2 and that works with ntsc games using the swap magic.

  • Are the menus also translated? That would suck playing an ROG or something along the lines and cant read anything.

  • *****PLEASE REPLY TO THIS COMMENT*****

I really need to know if swap magic will work on my ps2 model b4 i buy it T.T

It's SCPH-77001 ... i only saw the "7000X" and stuff for swap magic they never added a "7700X" ... PLEASE reply!!!!

  • Kingdom hearts final mix

  • Will kh fm work 2

  • Comment removed

  • Can u save a imported game on an american

  • Plz sell the ps2 and swap magic on eBay

  • Pls sell on eBay

  • does it work with PS2s from european?

  • thumbs up for hokuto no ken fighter

  • yes it does save your game

  • Ohhh there are 3 sensor

  • Thanks bro it works perfect =) I have ( king of fighters 2002UM)

  • does anyone know if the flip top can be installed and swap magic will work on the new PS2? the 9000 series?

  • just thinking, My ps2 plays copied dvd's would it run a burned copy of swapmagic? O_o

  • I have a PAL ps2, if I wanted to play american/jap games would I have to buy a PAL swap magic, or is it region free? If so, where can I buy one from?

Really want to play .Hack/G.U :/

  • @xRubehx You would have to buy a PAL version of Swap Magic. I'll PM you a link of where to get it.

  • @xRubehx just go to amazon

  • Do they still sell this? If so what do I need and where can I get it?

  • @chaseman94 you only get this on internet you can go to

    estarland . co m

  • @chaseman94 amazon

  • does it save you game normally

  • Ok, so I just got my flip top (ps2 fat, v9) Got it installed, I thought, effectively. But when I try to run my swapmagic disks (trying to play a japanese import with swapmagic 3.8) I can very rarely get the dvd disk to run. Usually I get an error saying it needs to be a ps2 disk or that the disk just didn't read before I can even try my game. I did get it to run a few times and figured out that I needed to boot: normal->ntsc to get my game going. But it just skipped a lot. Help?

  • ?!?!?! is it just me, or does that store look like just press play...

  • how do you play burned psx games with this now?

  • do i need a tv that is pal compat?

  • what was he going on about opening the ps2?

  • will the gameplay still have the same resolution and quality if you use the swap disk on a PAL software? im from nz and i got a mlb2k11 on ps2 but its NTSC.

  • i have no screws on the bottom side of my ps2 slim??

  • @rpgfreak18 There's screws under the square knob thingies.. and the warranty void. lol.

  • My mom's boyfriend says that I have to have someone take apart my PS2 and insert the Swap Magic in the game and then put it back together in order to play it. He's also said the same thing for the PSP. I have the scrawny version of the PS2.

  • Now, the swap magic disc works even on an ordinary ps2? (by that i mean the old style big one), if i plan on buying the disc for playing Japanese games, is there a certain swap magic disc? or do all of them work for the same thing?

Lastly, is it possible to save Japanese game files onto the memory card that i purchased from the USA?

  • @khlu405 Yes,

and to anybody wondering, Swap Magic 3.8 (or as its called Swap Magic Coder) will play ANY game, including imports, and yes you can save Japanese, and even PAL saves on a normal memory card (although if you want to actually see a PAL game with colors you need to convert it, just google it) Swap Magic works on both Slim and Fat PS2's

  • @MasterLiaoHuaOfShu Wow they have gotten expencive. I got my japan ps2 for only $7.50 on eBay a couple years back and it came with kh2 final mix.

  • You can do that or you can buy a Japanese ps2 for $5 off of eBay.

  • does it also work on pakistan imported games as well? :\

  • What's A good website to find ps2 games that are hard to buy in the States? Like Japeneese games are any other games?

  • This is Freakin Awesome I oreded it and im playing Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • @desparta05 How'd you do that? Did you get KHIIFM from Play-Asia and what swap magic are you using? I'm kinda indecisive to get one right now, because I don't have the money. If I do get a Swap Magic and then KHFM and KH2FM will it work for my PS2, it's a slim. Do I have to take it apart in order to play those games? And, how much does it cost?

  • @shadowgirl9891 Well I got Final Mix II from ebay for about $45, and the swap magic im usig is the 3rd version. And yes u do have to modify your ps2 there's a video on how to do it not hard at all. But yes it will only work when modified. The parts for the modification cost about $35 together for the cover lid and swap disc. sounds like alot but I'd say its worth it. :)

  • @desparta05 So, you can do it yourself? What's the URL for the video?

  • The website is really cheap :D

  • Comment removed

  • Umm what if I bought a PAL game from uk and want to play it on my American ps2 will I need this? If not someone pls help me how to convert pal games to NTSC

  • How Do You Do the ones for the Fat PS2?

  • do you need the flip top?

  • @donutplay YES DAMMIT

  • is he in gamestop

  • hey this is bruce ! I am thinking on asking mine grandma if i can do this to HER PS2 ! if i do this can we still buy and play usa games ? plz replay mine birthday is in a month so i might do this for mine birthday

  • all is true.

  • you dont have the flip top cover for the fat ps2 anymore =/

  • Is there a PAL version available?

I wanna use my European slim PS2 to play JAP games...

  • @phantomaniperv SWAP mAgic itself is region free

  • @phantomaniperv Forget what i said, it's not, but it does have versions for every region available

  • yeah im finally gonna get to play kingdom hearts final mix and kingdom hearts 2 final mix+

  • what is a backup game cuz some people say its a torrented game and some say its burned

  • @zoraliciousful

Basically saying "backup game" is a nicer way of saying or explaining why you're using swap magic in the first place. Saying that "oh...it's a backup game...you know just in case my actual bought game was stolen some day I can use this burnt copy which was torrented. - Yep it's only a backup game."

  • @shadowpal2 ok thanks man i wasnt sure at all

  • @zoraliciousful It's both, you download it from the internet from either a torrent or other method, and then you burn it to a disc.

  • ken you buy a PAL Swap Magic at dascheap.com

  • do you have to use the swap magic again if you turn the ps2 off and on

  • The flip top is totally unnecessary...

  • @then47h4n Well yeah, if you don't mind exposing the internals to dust.

  • why do you need a flip top?

  • @TheEverskye remove it. duh

  • I have a slim PS2 (black) and I would like to play imported games. Do I need both the flip top and the magic slide?

  • nope

  • Any lag issues with games people?

  • 3:22 can someone elaborate on the "patching" to adjust the video for PAL games

  • @SweatyReady46 i think he is referring to the difference between 50Hz and 60Hz, in which case i don't think it would make a difference

  • does this work on the regular ps2 please i neesd to know

    i bought the magic slide

  • I don't see any screws on my ps2, just squares on the bottom. What am I missing?

  • yes!! this is exactly what I needed, thanks!

  • @Damax98 why is the fliptop needed?

  • @narxhin4ever oh I just mean I wanted to know how the flip top worked, I was wndering if I should get one for imports and stuff

  • @Damax98 oh. well i figured out how so ill explain. Pretty much you buy a flip top(i dunno where from really xD) And you replace the top of your PS2 with it. You don't actually need the flip top to play import games however. But they reason they made it is that when you do play those games, the closed lid will help for not allowing dust into the game.(which wouldn't be a big problem if you clean your ps2 alot.) If you don't use the fliptop just leave the lid open and use something else as cover

  • @narxhin4ever thanks, yeah my cousin did the thing where you keep it open, but yeah idk, this seems fine, I don't mind paying the extra haha

  • @Damax98 lol i already bought 3 games for christmas so im trying to save up. I'm just saying if you somehow aren't able to get the fliptop, just put something else to cover it's exposure to dust. I only figured this out cuz i wanna play Ultimate ninja 5 :3

  • @Damax98 like leave a peice of paper over the spinning disk or something xD

  • I have a PS2 slim square fliptop model. I don't understand the first part about the screws. After you take the 6 out of the bottom and pop off the case, what then?

  • one you put the flip top mod can you still play regular ps2 games? that arent imported

  • @Thrustsubzer0 According to a site I read, yes. But I don't have one yet, so I don't know. From my understanding, the factory models send signals to the PS2 that the lid is open. Flip-Top ignores the signal, just like he says.

He made another video showing how to install the flip-top. Was the first video Google found, for me.

  • can u use da swap magic for fat ps2's and if u use it for slim do u have to have da lid like his

  • @pgdwf As he explains, the lid is what makes the Flip-Top work. It covers up sensors Sony built into the PS2.

There is a Flip-Top for fat PS2's. Shouldn't be too different to install. I see a video link right now that seems to be about how to install it on fats. There are different models of Flip-Tops, so double-check what you buy before you order.

  • do you know if the swap magic and the magic switch work if you buy them seperatly like buying the swap magic for 23 dollars and buying the magic switch for 9 dollars. and will they both work with battle stadium d.o.n like if one of your family members went to japan and bought it for you and brought it to your house

  • Do you know if the swap magic you are using play japanese ps2 games like battle stadium d.o.n

  • does it work with ps2 backups?

  • @bulletfreak224 but of course you bonehead that's the point of all of this

  • @latex89 listen to 3:18

  • @latex89 you would have to patch it.

  • how many sensor does the SCHP-90001 has? and will swap magic 3.6 work on it?

  • anyone know how to get a cd of swapmagic 3.8 going the dvd works fine but the cd says its not a real ps 2 game my ps2 is a second hand ps2 hopefully i dont have to buy a new laser

  • So, Japan want's to make peace with us by first or other make mods to play imported games??

  • its easier to get a system with a mod chip pre installed,

  • does swap magic alows us to put ' cheat codes ' on games or did i understand something wrong ?

  • So I wouldn't need to install the flip top if mine is already a slim ps2 console right? I just need to switch the game when the DVD stops spinning right?

  • So much easier to just tape the sensors down... and it looks sexier.

  • yeah, i found it easier to just buy an import system...

  • Does this work With Silver Ps2 slim??

  • do i have to take off the lid

  • nerd

  • @chriselementkid And? Your point is?

  • wow could it really be that easy? I need to buy this so I could play Xenosaga games in Europe

  • @Dexter158 there are pal versions of the xenosaga games...

  • @Zeehoos

there difinitely aren't. Only episode 2 came out in pal

  • Most ppl don't know that you don't even have to buy these things you just have to swap disk to play import games or backups yes the disk may get scratched but just make copies but uploading the data to your computer it should be a .bin file. After that your free to play the game risk free also when you swap the disk swap as soon as it slows down or it will be an epic fail

  • I want to play some of the Bleach games from Japan but I can't get my hands on the Flip Top swap magic, is there any website I can buy Swap Magic + Flip Top for cheap? If it's the cost of a new PS3 I will not buy Swap Magic. Thanks for help in advance!!!

  • @KingestKon0780

$10 for the flip top mod

    $20-30 for the swap magic

Just type it into a search engine and it will show up, almost as if that was the purpose of search engines!

  • @FadingNight Or you could just look in the description and click the link ~w~

  • can i burn ISO (PS2 games) from the internet, burn them on a disc, then use "SWAP MAGIC" on my PS2??? will my burned PS2 game from the internet work???

  • @nolangmez yes but it is illegal so i dont suggest doing so.

  • @nolangmez Yes.. just burn the dvd at 4x speed. I better recommend using Free Mc Boot (an application that you install on memory card) and patching the iso's with ESR, then no swapping is needed.

  • where do i buy this in the uk?

  • If you can.. I recommend a chip. No swapping, higher compatibility, and works with ps1 imports. You can find a modbo 4.0 for under $5 with free shipping. It will pretty much do everything

  • BUT IT IN ESTARLAND IS ONLY $ 28 INCLUDING PRIORITY SHIPPING I HAVEN'T SEEN IT CHEAPER THAN THAT

  • Mine is not working and i cant figure out why it will get to the Magic swap3 loading scren then will just go black after i put in my game and wont play it but the game spins perfectly! im soo confued and getting realy upset with it can anyone help me?

  • douse your swap magic say compact disc o the left hand side?

  • Does it work with all PS2's?

  • with a flip top can you still play regular s2 game non import

  • @roganrocker yup

  • does it mess up your ps2? and is it permanent

  • @roganrocker nope and nope

  • Hey could someone please help me, when i installed the fliptop and put in the swap magic disc none of my discs are spinning is there anyway to fix this? Or did i just do something wrong?

  • @Dan208

I don't well known the Magic Boot Scene

You have to secure the small sensor

    Google it!

    Regards

  • Swap Magic isn't all-powerful, though. I played some THPS3 through a backup disc using Swap Magic, and tried to access the Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder demo, but instead it did a disc analysation and went to the PS2 error screen.

  • no fat ps2 too with the slide tool

i think there also a flip top but i am not sure

commonly slide tool are for fat ps2

  • does swap magic 3.6 or 3.8 work with ps2 slim scph79001 usa version

  • yes it does :D

  • I NEED to play KH Final Mix and KH II Final Mix, so the Swap Magic MUST BE MINE!

  • @pokemonizkooolio

    me too :D haha

and i was about to buy a japanese ps2....

    glad i found this haha

  • @pokemonizkooolio KH IS THE SHIZZZZ XD i'm buying this just so i can play those

  • the ps2 must be modified?

  • @giavri2010 fat ps2: slide tool or flip top.

slim ps2: magic keys or flip top. i would have preferred the flip top to my magic keys...

  • Does it change the Japanese words into english?

  • @Lugiaheart lol

  • @Lugiaheart

    WTF IS DIS REAL?

  • I'm getting this for my birthday for Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+

  • @mjbrocks34 i know i did! :D

i did it for kh 1 final mix+ and kh II final mix +

  • @mjbrocks34

    just got mine today :]

  • Comment removed

  • where do I get the flip top? The link is gone. also what is this "slide tool"?

  • Final Mix are technically the US Kingdom Hearts I and II games with extras and such. I have them along with the FF Int games too.

I just got a PS2 9000X as well so I wouldn't mind a reply as I'm looking into getting this since my mod chip probably burnt out a year or so back.

  • im planning on getting this so i could play ape escape million monkeys but my slim ps2 doesnt have those bolts on the bottom so what should i do?

  • goood!

  • i need this so i can play dbz one pice naruto aka don do u have to put on that type of lid

  • does the swap disc work on pal ps2s

  • @big666mac If you watch the video, you see there is an option at Video Mode, and you can choose PAL. So yeah, I would guess it does work.

  • Does the flip top work with SCPH 9000X models?

  • i want to play the final mix games but theyre in japanese. is there a tool to convert it to english or do i have to learn japanese

  • @zoraliciousful

research the game. Some games allow you to change the language but most don't and remain in Japanese. I don't know what kinda game Final Mix is, but if it's a heavy text game don't bother. If it's say a fighter or a racer, it's worth buying and learning what the modes are with trial and error.

  • I want to play this game called Rolling but it's in PAL format, if I buy this and the flip top I will be able to play it? Cuz you said it needed some kind of color adjustment

  • why not just buy a japanese ps2?

  • @tija1012 Because this is cheaper and if you only want to play in one room on 1 tv you will have to unpluge everything then plug the other system back in to play the other region game. And Maybe you want to play a game in spanish.
