But I guess I'll just wait a little bit more 'till Sony makes it faster. It's always makes me sleepy when reading and if you need to wait 5 seconds for the page to turn... Zzz... Zzz...
Looks very slow after getting used to a smartphone. I don't know why and I know you shouldn't be but it just happens that you comparing the two. But looks real nice and guess it's irreplaceable when come to reading books. The reason I would like to have one would be all kind of pdf. online magazines I have and it's pain in the ass to print them or read them on laptop.
Having trouble using the dictionary. Whenever I double tap a word, it defines a different word on the same page. At times, it freezes. Am I doing something wrong?
I think am another year away from buying one of these,Wish this had wireless conection,G3, better glare free screen. If it had this I would buy this next day granted.Next gen better have because am tired of waiting.
so then what program do you use to split two page manga spreads up into single pages so that you can convert them to .lrf. Also i tried calibre but it doesn't seem to be able to convert jpeg images and then combine them
The manga looks good on the prs600. Actually i am considering buying one just to view manga. I was wondering whether you had to modify the manga scans in anyway. Also i was wondering if you knew of a program that could split two page manga scans into single pages so that i could put them on the prs600.
can't i just put in jpg and png picture files in an album and view manga like that?

Buy a faster memorycard like class 4 or 6 or a memory stick pro duo ultra 30mb/sec .
Then your waiting time is over and its fast

Sorry about the phrasing i used. I meant how did you manage to split a two page into a one page.

so then what program do you use to split two page manga spreads up into single pages so that you can convert them to .lrf. Also i tried calibre but it doesn't seem to be able to convert jpeg images and then combine them

Sorry for my English but i don't understand what u r saying.
Do u mean join 2 page into 1 page. or spilt 1 page into 2 pages.
What i did was i put all the images(in pages order)in RAR file(use Winar) Then change the extension RAR to CBR (wiki it)
*******************
Example Chapter 1.rar
change to Chapter 1.cbr
Then convert Chapter 1.cbr to Chapter1.lrf
boi510 2 years ago
Why to .lrf??
techforlife 2 years ago
LRF format is a proprietary format by Sony used in their e-readers and I think manga seems load faster in that format in Prs-600.
Correct me if Im wrong.
boi510 2 years ago
@boi510 exactly LDF are optimized for the sony readers and are displayed faster than pdf or jpg...
(plus the comics will take less space in lrf seeing that calibre downsize the jpegs to the reader resolution)

May I ask what the dimensions were once you converted it? Looks like you can see just about all the details

I don't really know. The calibre software auto calculate what fit best on the Prs-600.
