@jackhillbilly i am a firefighter trained in in water ice rescue, i spend alot of time in the winter months pulling morons like this out of frozen ponds and lakes. stupidity is not the same as guts!
Riding on that slush was a real bitch. The ass end of the bike wants to keep sliding out from under you. If there's a layer of crusty snow on the ice though, it's about like riding down a dirt road - not bad at all.
It varies from year to year. Last Winter it was warm enough that it wasn't safe to drive on. Some winters it has gotten 24" thick, just depends on cold spells.
That guy on the baggers got more money than me .

is the ice strong enough to withstand the weight on a jeep ? isnt it risky? how will u know its safe to do this ?
vidsupercharged1622 2 years ago
would doing that cause the jeep to roll?
Dqpwndu 2 years ago
not enough traction to cause it to roll unless you hit a nice big crack.
theunseen1 2 years ago
not unless you hit a crack in the ice or slide into land. the sudden gain of traction would cause it to flip

The slush effect is awesome - I'm surprised the big car companies have never used that in a commercial.

That takes me back to my teenage years, driving intoxicated at 3:30AM in the morning drifting on some Northern lake.
pavelow235 4 years ago
Actually there was 14 inches of good ice under the slush. It turned bad a couple days later due to high temperatures.
Hamiltonmax 4 years ago
I don't know if I would have the balls to take my jeep onto any lake. Especially if it's slushy. THIN ICE!
