i have one of the PVC's hoses plugged off with a screw, probably from a previous owner, i dunno if that small hose should be attached to something or just made to be open and i dunno why the previous owner is plugging it off with a screw in first place !! any idea, my car is Chevrolet s10 blazer . thanks.
@canobd2 1998,vortech 4.3 L 4X4 , the upper big hose that goes from the PVC to the valve covers is fine, the down smaller one is the one that is plugged off .
The other hose goes to the HVAC system (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) when used according to the vacuum diagram. Not all vehicles use this line.
You guys chose the easiest car in the world to do a PCV valve on,my mom's taurus is about at the mileage for it to get replaced, and its under the intake manifold.Im gonna see if it can be replaced without taking off the manifold but i have doubts
what about a 2000 model engine. i heard its location is different and there is some rubber thing to cover it off?

If you’re talking about a 00 Camry 4 cylinder then it should be in the same general area.

after 3 years of driving car i finally heard of a "pcv valve"
are these relevant to replace?
NguyenEmpir3 3 months ago
Yes the PCV valve is something that should not be over looked and needs to be replaced from time to time.
canobd2 3 months ago
@canobd2 also are they suppose to be plastic or like a metal plug?
NguyenEmpir3 3 months ago
PCV valves are made of different materials it just depends on the manufacture.
