  • You are like a SWAT team serving a warrant on Mr.Borer.

  • Thanks for the info, I love these videos! I ended up pulling out my zucchini but my butternut squash are great.

  • I would have never thought about doing surgery on my plant! Thanks for the great video.

  • Did the plant survive? Could you show it quickly if it did so we can see? I would have had the side stalk he climbed into off and squashed all of it so as not to see him die, but I would do it for my plants sake. It was just a hungry caterpillar.

  • Thanks for the warning...lol...I had to put my hand on the screen when the killing occured. So if I plant squash now will I have this problem? All my squash has recently died I think b/c of the borer.

    Great video!

  • thats the coolest thing i think ive ever seen!

  • This was my first year gardening, and those little buggers took out all of my squash/zucchini. I know what to do next year! ;-)

  • That was first rate video work there girl!

I had this same problem with nearly all my squash, I got a few off them and then they went out on me. I did the surgery :) and took out 3 in one plant! 2 in several others.

Some people say wrapping the stems in Aluminum foil helps next year I also will investigate a good pesticide to put on them to prevent this if I can.

You are one of my Fav channels.

  • very informative, thanks!
