  • want to sell tokina to me, since u have nikon 14-24mm lense?? :D

  • Thank you for posting this video... I love my Tokina 11-16 for my D50 and I've been eyeing the D700 for sometime... very helpful video!

  • This is YouTube, not the beach. Put a shirt on.

  • Did you noticed that when using the Tokina 11-16mm on a Full Frame camera, there appears a black Fiat 500 in the middle of the image? DX cameras do not show it. :)

  • why would you put a dx lens on a full frame camera.....

  • @dothisdothat321 saves me from having to spend :£1300 on a new dc lens the 14-24mm

  • He's giving us the shirt off his back!

  • isnt the tokina a dx lens? isnt that why its vignetting? for dx censors such as d300s and lower models the tokina will do much better and worth your money..

  • @GacusanAMVs yep.Idd.Also, tokina being a DX lens means that it will have less resolution (6mp if i am correct) in a Full Frame camera like D700.

  • Wear a shirt!

  • what happen to the black car?

  • Put a Shirt On!

  • Hi Dom do you think Nikon is better camera than Canon ?

  • @mishokorlov I like nikon and its flash especially its CLS stuff. I like canon for its video and straight out of camera sharpness

  • @Dombowerphoto even though most people like Canons for video, i compared my D7000 with D60 and 5d MKII and found out that D7000 might renders color a bit worst than canons, but it wins big time when it comes to dynamic range. So, i can't say that Canon wins nikon hands down in video.

  • naked man!!

  • How is the Tokina at 11mm on fullframe with the lens hood off? I'd imagine the vignette is pretty serious at least?

  • @Sokra81 pointless to test it would just be a big black circle.

  • @Dombowerphoto Ok... was just wondering how big of an area of the photo would actually be usable. Obviously bigger one than with the hood on.

  • Hey Dom, I just have a quick question for you.

I been doing photography for idk 5 years or so and I have the Nikon D60, which I find to be an amazing beginners DSLR. I love it, but as my photography skill improves my need for new equipment gets higher and i'm thinking to purchase a new camera but unsure what to get. I looked the D90 and D7000, but they don't offer CF cards and I prefer compact flash, So I looked at the D300s, but should I wait for Nikon to replace the D300s? Thanks Dom!

  • @nerwin if you can wait, wait, but the nikon d300 replacement will be around £1400 compared to the current d300 £1150. if you cant wait the D7000 is an amazing camera, and i dont see what the issue is with sd cards... they are genreally cheaper and just as reliable

  • @Dombowerphoto Thanks, I like the D7000, but I don't want more megapixels, I hate noise. A while ago I held the D300s and just like fell in love with it, so i'm not sure yet, I may just wait for the D300s replacement. Well I think Compact Flash is faster than SDHC cards.

I don't know what i'm going to do yet, I think i'm going to wait and do some more research first.

Boy Photography is such an expensive hobby :(

  • @nerwin cf and sd cards have comparable speeds and reliability now adays.

    best advise, just wait

  • Dom naked again A_A

  • Awesome! Thank's :)

  • Hey Dom, i just got a Tokina 11-16mm and it's amazing indoors.

i'm planning on taking it outdoors and trying to do some more creative shooting. Do you have any advice for using the ultra-wide angles? I have read that i 'need to get very close', and also try use the perspective distortions to my advantage. What else do i need to know?

  • @rticknor practice and take photos, thats all you need to do. that and get some nd grad filters for the lens if you are doing any landscape shots

  • its a nude review

  • can you do a review of the tokina 16-28mm :)

  • Great video Dom! Have you invested in the Nikon 14-24 ('the 1st of the Hebrew Trinity?') ? Are you going to do a review?

  • We already have a review on the 14-24mm.

  • @tomecin not sure if i want to buy it. the lack of ability to put a filter on the front is a problem for me.

  • Nice to see you jump to the D700 for the truly amazing ISO and proper full frame (no crop) sensor.

Canon 5D was fullframe... but was bad in all the other ways (and mainly just ooold)

  • excellent video. very good review. very useful for photographers that are on a budget. please make more videos like this. thanks.

  • Great video. Extremely helpful for me as i am thinking

(hoping) of going from the DX to FX world.

  • Nice shirt Dom..:)

  • First! :)

  • @heuykiller no looks like your second hahaha

  • @lopezae33 Haha, yeh, he was 1(!!) second faster.

  • great video
