even without the battle sounds its a great song to listen to. I love how its so solemn before entering a huge battle where you'd lose a large amount of your men. I had to listen to this then entered a sea battle and lost 2 ships and finished with one damaged. Damn french and their ships... :D
@vorenus250 Almost correct however this is the Grave from Corelli's Concerto Grosso Op. 6 Nr. 3 (The grave is the third movement). They do sound similar.
This makes me wanna play Empire total war again!

Alot of the time, this music is quite fitting, along with the quotes.
*THe austrian general arrives at Luethen awaiting Frederich to lose to his massive army* "He who is failing to prepare, is preparing to fail"
Benjamin Franklin, US scientist, author, and statesman
*Meanwhile, Frederich and his sarmy trudge along, knowing Prussia relies on his small thread of a chance for victory[music]*

Sounds pretty fitting when you've just lost half your men.
PlankofWood1 2 years ago 27
Hehe, the song is awesome actually, even when you lose IMO ^^
Tehmig12 2 years ago
@PlankofWood1 The only reason i'd be sad about losing half my men in this game is because it'll cost you money to restock.
