  • Aways Wonderfull!!!

  • I have 2 strats and they sound teriffic. Don't have to buy a 3000 euro Fender to sound nice. And my name is not stevy ray.

  • @jepamisschien its about sound not looks.... exactly. i igot a squier strat and she looks and sounds GREAT!

  • It's the back track from Lick Library

  • found this piece beacause i am learning the leads, well played,!

    tnx a lot

  • simply amazing!!! thank u very much i had so much fun jamming on this backing track

  • trying to make it a habit to play with this at least once a day

  • Just what I was looking for, great! =D

  • damn, when I started to jammin to this on my guitar, my legs went crazy :D i was swinging like hell!

  • how can 16 people dislike this music??? they must have problems with their deaf aids.. check the batteries.. as for a 1st guitar, buy what is affordable for you.. Fenders & Gibsons are pricey & so are most name make guitars... if you look in the free Ads papers you can pick up a Pacifica or Squier for peanuts so do that 1st and when you feel you are progressing buy a Fender or Gibson if you have the cash.. Once again go for the free Ads as you will get 1 cheap..Good Luck

  • A lot of Pro's buy Strats also. Eric Clapton, Pete Townsend, Mark Knopfler, Mick Taylor, Mick Jagger and many many others.

  • This is Gilmour's guitar #00001 no doubt about it

  • if ur a beginner and dont have the money for a fender/gibson/any other huge name brand, u could always invest in a squier. not those crap ones that come in a box with a garbage 10 watt amp and a gig bag, any model on display in a store. ive played some damn good squiers in the past few years. it just takes patience to find a good one. some of the ones i tried played just as well as my '72 fender strat

  • @Hobinator17 they were probably 80's jap squiers. fine specimens, and the classic vibe 50's are nice squiers also.

  • And whats wrong with buying "Strats"? They're great guitars, even the MIM ones. I have a Strat, a Tele, BB King Lucille and D16 Martin and I'm getting to buy an Ibanez S770PB. By the way, there is only one Strat and that is a Fender. The rest are just copies.

  • 14 people... must die!

  • youtube.com/watch?v=DTRzBhYQZCU

Black metal my band!! check it out!

  • Thank you a million times. This is just what I needed. I'm trying to learn the solos, and this is perfect.

  • @Sunderlanding You could always get a fat strat...

  • Thanks for this, really handy for practicing the lead part, and VERY accurate to the original.

  • my first guitar was a red plastic job about 14" long with clear plastic strings! Wow, what a long time ago!

  • I play an Ibanez with floyd rose.My dream is a Fender strat with a floyd.BIG money!!

  • My first guitar was an Ibanez Roadstar II it's my dads I used to borrrow it and play then I just got better with time now I have more guitars than Mark hahahah

  • my strat is light blue

  • USE YOUR HEART TO IMPROVISE

  • i play an acoustic guitar atm but i wanna buy an electric one....what would be a good allround guitar for a medium price? and with allround i mean from classic rock and blues to metal? thanks

nice backing track btw can´t wait to use it ;)

  • @bassieeee7 Hey i would buy a epiphone Les Paul or if you have the money you can buy a Gibson or a Fender, but Epiphone, morgan, are for beginners.

  • @kamikaze2800

Hey thanks for the responses! Yes I am a beginner, i have been playing for about a year now :P...Are there any other recommedable models besides a les paul? I really like how the stratocaster looks.. A friend of mine has a used Stagg guitar which looks just like a strat, but I looked it up on google and most people who have had that guitar were not very positive about it...so I´m looking for a beginner electric guitar, but with some decent quality and playability, Thanks!

  • @kamikaze2800 I play ephiphone, and sound better than most spoiled posers using their gibsons

  • @bassieeee7 If you live in the netherlands try searching for a london city spitfire / or comet very good guitars quality is between made in mexico and use

  • @bassieeee7 I would buy a stratocaster..

  • @StratApple Yes that would work but since he asked i thought he was a beginner and no beginner buys a Stratocaster as their first guitar...

  • @kamikaze2800 i buy a squier fender blue ! yeah 315 euros

  • @kamikaze2800 .. my first guitar was a strat...

  • @kamikaze2800 my first guitar was a Texas Les Paul, Didn't like it, so I sold it and buyed an Epiphone Sg :D

  • @kamikaze2800 plenty of beginners buy strats.. just not fenders.

  • @RsGhost1 Yeah.. i know.. xD

  • @kamikaze2800 I bought a fender strat as my first electric guitar

  • @kamikaze2800 really? i've been playin for 6 years and my first guitar was a mim fender strat

  • @RsGhost1 Yes they do. Its called made in Mexico. 300 bucks.

  • @jsrnash12 Most beginners do not spend 300 bucks on a guitar..

  • @kamikaze2800 i do :)

  • @kamikaze2800

    dude your dumb as shit

liek eveyone i know buys a strat for a beginner its the fuckin best guitar i ever bought

  • @StratApple ...but strats suck for metal. You need humbuckers for metal. If you want versitility get a les paul type guitar. Great for Jazz and Metal ok for everything else.

  • @Sunderlanding between a stratocaster and an les paul the most versatile is without a doubt the stratocaster

  • @StratApple Not true. With a Les Paul you can get a good Jazz sound, a good Metal sound, a good Rock sound, an ok Country sound, an ok Blues sound, but with a Strat you can get a good Rock, Country and Blues sound, but you can't get a Jazz or Metal sound. You need humbuckers for that kind of sound and the Strat just doesn't cut it.

  • @bassieeee7 I managed to get a used ltd esp-50 for 80 bucks. after some tuning up this baby is good to go. perfect for the level im at right now and pretty versatile.

  • @bassieeee7 get yamaha pacifica 012 best starter electric.... better than squiers...

  • @bassieeee7 Epiphone Les Paul Special 2

  • @bassieeee7 If you're just learning to play and can't afford that much, Yamaha Pacifica is really much more worthed guitar than it's price would make you think

  • @bassieeee7 Fender Stratocaster Mexican, if you can get a humbucker in the bridge then you're totally set, you can achieve most guitar tones with one resonably priced high quality guitar.

  • @bassieeee7 strat or Les paul

  • @bassieeee7 id say squier or ephiphone, which is what i have, A squier stratocaster

(THE EXACT ROCK BAND GUITAR MODEL BASICALLY), theres a ephiphone les

paul for $275. BUT BE CAREFULL, MAKE SURE U TEST PLAY WHAT YOU BUY cause each guitar sounds different. ANY WAYS ELECTRIC IS EASIER TO LEARN ON IMO, and i can play all thoses wonderful acoustic songs by like bob dylan, elvis and 'Cash too! happy playing friend!

  • @An0therSh0rtFella01

thanks for your reply! I bought a Les Paul and i´m having lots of fun with it. enjoy your playing, best wishes!

  • Ciao ma come ai fatto a creare questa bellissima base per assolo di chotarra mi fai sapere qualcosa

  • @lordnimr0d If you own a fender already, why not go with another brand, like a gibson? One of my musician friends advised me, saying, "When it comes to guitars, never duplicate your arsenal; add to it".

  • Guitar upo here sucks.it's not even original

  • Great backing track..I have just started to learn this song and it will be a big help.

  • if u no how to play.......u can play any guitar... i dont care if its fisher price....ppl who know anything about guitars should agree with me on this one,,,right guys????

  • @PHILLIPGERALDHIGGINS I agree to a certain point; if you take a little 10 cent 3/4 size kiddie guitar and play a song, people will recognize the song you are playing and say tht you sound good. There's a lot to be said for experimenting with tonality, though, and that partly comes from experimenting with different brand name guitars and finding one with a tone you like.

  • dezzzzzzzzzz

  • Looks very much like Fender Stratocast no. 0001, Owned by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd

  • hmm i heard the whole thing waiting to listen to the solo... then I realized that there isn't gonna be one ;p nice work anyway

  • This is great. Would you mind if I posted one with the vocals as well? I don't want to copy you, but people might like that.

  • @kamikaze2800 Did I ever thank you for this backing track? It's totally brilliant and a great learning tool. Thanks a mil!

  • More like this,,, thank you...

  • yo is this a tad fast or did i have to many vodkas and ice tea?

  • Great backing yes I want to be Mark who would not

  • great track, thanx......

  • i'm going crazy here..

when does the first solo start?

  • @slairplusburito At 3:29 Right after the drum fill.

  • 3:30

  • "Backing Track for Guitar solo" Its a backing track for soloing youre suopse to play to it hah.

  • Nice, thanks very much for that!

  • wats that guitar?

  • It looks like a Fender Strat... there's a small chance that it could be a Squier tho. I own a squier... I LOOOOOOOOVE my squier. Beautiful tone for the price.

  • YEah Squier is a ok guitar when it comes to Classic Rock but when you play metal

    IT sucks Ass :)

  • I have an Ephiphone Les Paul for the chunky rythym stuff. I know there's better out there, but it suits my stuff quite well. Besides.. you can't beat the old rock and roll stuff... That's where it all started. Scratch that... BLUES is where it all started.

  • @kamikaze2800

fender fucks squier in the ass !! :D

i own a original tele 62' and a fener 50's and they own a squier even if they're not played :D:D

i already played squiers from other guys but i can tel you

if you pay 400 €/$ for a squier,

pay 200 €$ more and you'll get something sooo much better..

    so that's what i thing ;D

  • @kamikaze2800 not true alot of metal players play stratocasters strats work are great at metal with enough distortion

  • @kamikaze2800 If you want metal, it's going to be Ibanez, Jackson, Kramer, Schecter and all of the other usual suspects. (Although you can get marvellous non-metal tones out of some Ibanez guitars. Their acoustics in particular are great.)

  • @cabbitsd i own one, too. a vintage modified on ow. IT'S SUCH AN AWESOME GUITAR! I LOOOVE IT! <333 you can play everythink and you don't need to pay 6000$ for a fender eríc clapton strat. you know..^^ rock on

  • @WhoTheRollingBeatles Don't get me wrong, I'd kill for an eric clapton strat... Won't stop me from using my squier onstage tho. \^^b KORitFW buddy.

  • @cabbitsd Ok I will tell you witch strat is that :D It's David Gilmours strat witch has the plate 00001 strat :D go google it and you will find it :D

  • @cabbitsd it's a fender

  • @cabbitsd its a fender you can read the headstock

  • @cabbitsd It's a FENDER, can you not read? :) It says it right there on the guitar neck..

  • @paul9401 I can't really make out the writing on the neck... I initally assumed it was a Fender myself, but I didn't want to jump to conclusions because that's where my Squier logo is printed and it looks REALLY similar.

    I still love my squier.

  • Where did u get the backing track from ??

  • ficou show velho!!!!

  • very good

  • nice !!!!

  • Thanks!!!

  • I think I love you too

  • i lold at least 2 min at you .... *backingtrack*...dumbassXD srry:P

  • Dumb ass :O

  • thanx

  • Great stuff, well done.

  • this is the DOGS BOLLOCKS

  • i hate when people say stuff like use this a7 harmonic scale and all this shit..dont get me wrong to an extent tahts very handy but man use your ears improvise!

your ears are the best tools you can have...aprt frm other stuff...lol

    great backing track

  • Thanks

  • @xxxEnterSandmanXxX

Looks like someone failed Music Theory.

  • @xxxEnterSandmanXxX Agreed about the ear thing, man, you can't go wrong doing stuff by ear. The scales are totally important, too, though, and they have their place of usefulness. And let me tell you, your ear would be nothing without them.

  • @xxxEnterSandmanXxX

Actually it's the most obvious thing to do, use the scale and accidentals create tension.

Music is based off of a very clear and explainable structure, don't need to be all bad-ass and "fuck theory!"

  • @xxxEnterSandmanXxX The ears may be the greatest tools, but the theory is how you learn to use those tools effectively. Don't dismiss theory. It is one of the most useful skills you can have when playing guitar, only slightly less useful than two functioning hands.

Also, one quick thing: learn some of the more obscure and less-commonly-used scales and modes. They're often the most fun.

  • que guitarra maravilhosa!

  • use the d minor and f major scales for everything, but on the A7 and maybe even the A, use the D harmonic minor.

  • @FFXGuitar the switch to the harmonic minor sounds pretty sweet

  • Best backing track I've heard so far !!!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • very good and solid backing track man. I am learning this song for my bands rep, and this helps me for my own prac.

    cheers,

    Jon

  • Good one - We all wannabee M Knopfler

  • LOL

  • my stratocaster has two red stripes down the center of the bridge

  • british rock at its finest.........great job of back tracking the guitar solo..........cheers

  • thanks for posting this

  • I needed it, thank you! xD

  • when its dire straits, why does it have david gilmours 0001 strat as a picture? :)

  • Does that really matter?

  • no, it's the coolest guitar in the world. it's just a bit odd to use a guitar of gilmours when the guitarist is mark knopfler. :)

  • nicely done :)

  • ottimo - great :-)

  • D minor witha a Major 5th chord renering D Harmonic Minor . Over the A chord, play the C# note instead of the C(from the D minor) and notice the change. Remember the 3rd of the 5th is the 7th of the 1.

  • you're a legend for putting this on - cheers

  • Comment removed

  • yea d minor

  • Great!! Excellent backing track. Thank you very much!

  • thank you, A almost sounded right but some were off

  • Is this in the Key of A or am I just stupid?

  • d minor

  • ReasonableRam you are just stupid :P

  • you wrote your comment to the wrong one.

  • you are quite possibly a retard.

  • This is such a great backing track for a tasteful solo. I wish I could write catchy chord changes like that.

  • es siempre lo mismo,el y el solo siempre lo espere y nunca llego!

  • es para hacer el solo mogolico xD :P

    o para improvisar

  • Can you make a drum track?

  • hahaha omg this si soo usefull like, i actually made a song out of this thx so muhc!

  • You can't really make a song with this, it is already made, you can improvise to it ;p

  • very useful..thanks a lot

  • when do the two solos start?

  • 3:31 + 5:00

  • Thanks!!

  • what key is it in or can i just start my pentatonic anywhere?

  • its in D

  • Dm to be precise

  • great man.... i like this song

  • this is so sweet.....a dire straits baby...... british rock at its best.

  • THANKS A LOT!!
