  • Google Science Fair: science connects the world.

  • @WaffleEgo Linux XP is Ubuntu, just with a different default theme. Personally, I wouldn't want to run my Linux system in a way that reminded me of the painful days of Windows XP every time I saw it. I'm slowly transitioning to Debian, but still primarily Ubuntu right now.

  • WTF, this is stolen from Honda "Cog" commercial. It's the same.

  • @DonKacunko1 Well, all of these are stolen from Rube Goldberg so Honda owes someone something, too.

    AWESOME!!!

We need to get more kids interested in Math Science & Technology here in the USA!! This 1st Annual Google Global Science Fair is certainly a Big Help!!

  • What we need more of

    Is Science.

  • This wins.

  • and that chime in the end "pythagora switch"

  • Mmm, my chem teacher in 7th grade wrote our assignment on the board and then went to sleep at her desk. I ended up half-teaching the class, which was pretty embarrasing.

She retired, after some angry kids threw a brick at her window. Ouch.

  • I take a lab course in my school. It's true. We had to pretty much bs the first part of the class because we weren't actually taught how to use the equipment, despite doing 20 or so cut-and-paste labs already in other classes. And this was in a "Math and Science" school...Stuyversunt, reportadly best in NYC...sigh.

  • @Resident460 I was lucky, I had a science teacher when I was in school that inspired me by making us do observations and experimentation and actually doing things to learn. Later, In my first year teaching at high school (I taught the lower level students in basic physical science that year) I had my students IN THE LAB DOING more than all the other biology, chemistry and physics classes being taught put together. An inspiring teacher is a help but ultimately it is you that make things happen.

  • One of the reasons we in the US are slipping behind in science is due to administrators demanding kids score high on tests at the cost of creative hands on experimentation. I had but one college chemistry class and yet had to sign the "NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND" not highly qualified teacher form because they wanted me to teach Chemistry instead of Earth Science (my major) because my students on average, scored higher than students of teachers with chem majors. And I did this BY NOT TEACHING THE TEST!

  • @mojaverockets I find that the best teachers are the ones who digress and have experience outside that field of expertise, it allows them to make good comparisons and link it with other subjects, making it more interesting for the pupil. I myself have a teacher who hardly ever teaches out of the textbook and because of that I understand more

  • @TheSavageish I loved making connections. For seven years we didn't have science texts because only math and english were tested by the state. We had to be creative and ultimately developed a dynamite program without texts doing lots of lessons, activities, labs, field trips, etc. Then when they were going to start testing science we suddenly had hundreds of thousands of dollars available for science books but told those funds couldn't be used for other things we really needed for the course.

  • Rube Goldberg would love this! I had my science students do these but never like this. Too bad my last years of teaching the other science teachers didn't want to spend the time needed to do this at our school.

  • Excellent with speakers off.

  • Love the rocket :))

  • @drakoman07 LOL :D What!!!???

  • I smiled, then realized it's a science fair for kids. I'm 28. Is there a science fair for adults?

  • @derman077 There could be. We just have to make it happen. I'm in many grown up type science fair type projects now. Maybe each year do a different thing to "compete" in. This may inspire kids to be more willing to do science fair projects since they see how much fun they can be and that even adults do them. Where do we start?

  • If y'all loved that super hardcore video then check this other super hardcore video that's even more hardcore called EARTHQUAKE IN TOFINO totally way hardcore bra, I'm trying to get 500 thumbs up within the next 24 hours cmon guys let's see what you got better act fast before it gets taken off of YouTube for content that is to hardcore

  • Somebody tell me what is this song ? and where can i find such other similar songs like this one

  • Massive rip off of Fischli & Weiss "the way things go"

  • @marcoisapolo Yea, and your "Fischli & Weiss" is a MASSIVE RIP OFF of Rube Goldberg.

    Ignorant douche...

  • The one this too shall pass was longer for sure but you can't even see a lot of what's going on later on in the video. You can see it's just happening. Then on top of that this one is all science related if you couldn't tell, not just stuff falling over.

  • i like the part where the things happened

  • @artifactingreality "where the things happen"...k

  • Far too much detail

  • I approve of this comment.

  • I like the part where the one thing makes that other thing start doing something

  • Rube Goldberg is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO played out and TIREEEED...BOOOORRRRIIIINNNNGGGG

  • Epic rude Goldberg machine!

  • @pipweed, like coffee said, you came to this video. How about instead of trolling and telling someone you don't know to get a life, look In the mirror and remind yourself how immature you're acting. Children these days, seriously? You also said he's probably in a wheelchair, bald with glasses. You know this how? And if so why make fun of another persons disabilities?

  • Sorry, Okay Go did it better, and in time to the music as it played live.

    See "This Too Shall Pass."

  • Don't feed the trolls

  • Wow, it's a low resolution Ubuntu *-*

  • @GeeEin For blessing me with Albert's blessing haha.

  • Gaylord twat? That may have been simultaneously the most hilarious and stupid insult I've ever come across. Kinda makes me want to name my son that out of spite now.

  • very awesome

  • This reminds me of Tom & Jerry

  • Nice video

  • its strange. I used google translate, babel fish, and every other resource at my disposal. But I CANNOT figure out what Pipweed is trying to tell us! It sounds like a branch of the idiotese language but with an accent of dumbassish. I'm gonna need some help figuring this one out.

  • ピタゴラスイッチ!

  • @Kikuchi81 Weird, I was watching that earlier today.

  • Pause the video, then press up and left at the same time to start a game of snake! thumbs up so more people can see!
