I love how every APC and Tool song I watch on youtube always has people who love it just because it carries so much emotion. Music is an expression of emotion and to me that makes these bands some of the best since they do it so well both instrumentally and vocally.

It's now often derailed to this point of view which is true for most cases but only when it's made intentional by the artist himself. I think the meaning belongs to Maynard. It would be chaotic if every one were to claim there own meaning and feeling over this song, since it is Maynard's interpretation to he's imagination of he's reality. Am amazed you even got the first one right, it has alot to do with he's transition of innocence and the death of he's mother. That was he's inspiration for this art, let alone all the mother's who mourn for there child.

well, i think alot of this album has to do with his mothers death, sex addiction, and betrayal. in what way do you think it is about meth prettytight. I know maynard experimented with lots of drugs in the late eighties, early nineties but im pretty sure he doesnt do hardcore drugs anymore.

I think this song has a sublime sound, has moments of quiet strength and has great sound and lyrical complements a unique composition, as well as the vocal quality of Maynard. Just for me is the best song of APC or only one of the best.

Actually, I'm a musician who really likes originality and knows quite a bit about music theory (but nowhere near everything), and I still love A Perfect Circle. Don't generalize all musicians as being immature people who think they know it all just because you see one person like that. However, I agree with you that he shouldn't judge it as he did.
